As posted on GBX.
We've both been working on modern maps, and recently decided to put our ideas togethor and make a 'team'. This will hopefully make everything else easier so we can concentrate on BSP's.
So this isn't just some love me thread, here's my latest work:

Name isn't final, any suggestions on the name, and the map are appreciated. Something I suggested to snaf, top right garage is almost closed, cutting off the shortcut to bases, but still open enough to spam nades. It will be excellent for CTF, even better for Slayer.

Here's one of the modern combat maps that will be part of what we release.
Veblensk: A small old soviet block city. War ravaged and broken, it makes an intense battleground.

Once i've added about 30 lights :P then I can fix any errors, texture, and put it ingame.. although scenery needs to be modelled :(
On another note.. we are looking for a biped modeller *coughwolcough*.

Err, all he had to do was set up a simple scene with lights and a clay material. None the less, it looks amazing-can't wait to see what you two can come up with.

Right in one. I personally hate clay rendering, but snaf used to bug me to do them.. so I just do them automatically now :P

Poorly lit render.. AK from snafs pic and this are done by Scooby/Komono, they have the rest of the weapons though :eyesroll:

other then scooby's ak being mirrored it is by far my favorite, it looks sick can't wait to see katarns gun skinned forgot its name >_< second from the bottom

Snaf already stated it's no longer mirrored :)
Testing my map for bugs/errors, then just going to add lights, test again, then texture, test again, then populate with my scenery, then test again, then it's done :P
Then just awaiting weapons/biped.. :eek:

Nah, the UVW would have taken about 4 hours, prob less. But not everyone wants to sit around for 4 hours.

I like the first one. Looks fun. :D On the second looks good two but when you make it i suggest to put heaps of detail dont let it look fake it may wreck such a nice deisgn. :)

another one falls victim to the assumption that the buildings aren't fully detailed, due to my quickie renders. all buildings have windows and glass. there's also no scenery in the renders.
