Most of you who've come from HaloCE know me. I'm famous for being me and owning teh nublets at the game mentioned forhand.

So I just picked up my copy of Halo2 Vista today at my local EB. Honestly, I've been waiting for this for a long time and I booked it home to play.

Tray and Play: Sorry to say this feature was somewhat of a disappointment. This feature is supposed to be have the ability to play the game while installing it at the same time. It was working like a charm at first, except for the long loading times, but I still believe that was due to the installation. When it came to cutscenes...wow did I lose a lot. Every cutscene ended up being either to 1 frame per 10 seconds or sound was wayyyyy of sync.

Gameplay: First thing, interesting controls...I was so dumbfounded by them at first that I honestly didn't know how to play. I guess this is my old CE self kicking in and not being able to adapt well enough. I honestly had to switch the controls mostly back to CE style. As for the rest it was solid as like the Xbox version (which I don't own). I enjoy the standard attacking and still love to snipe. Oh wait...One more little detail. Wow autoaim on the controller. Honestly the one place of failure by the development teams there. It's just too rigged in my opinion and they really have to remove that(hopefully) from future updates of the game.

Graphics: I wasn't really expecting much and I got mostly what I expected. Some of the improvements were enjoyable but the one thing that really ticked me off was the lack of resolutions to play the game. Shininess is a little abused but I think that just might be a graphical problem on my side.

Sounds: It's sound who cares? (Don't care too much)

LIVE: Well...this little feature, Windows LIVE seemed interesting. I personally do not have a gold account so I cannot access all the fancy features. I really wish they unlocked a little more content for the Silver but that is all right. I played a few matches online today also, but I have to admit I could tell the controller players from the keyboarders. I tried the H2V.net server. That was pleasant but the gametypes could use some improvements.

So there you have it. Pope and his first impressions of Halo2 Vista.

I promised myself I'd join these forums when I get the game so here I am.
See ya all on the server.
