Choking Victim

This isn't a fancy gaming mouse or anything like that and im pretty sure its an old mouse. Anyway im having some trouble with it, when im working on my computer the mouse pointer jumps around on its own its almost like someone else is using it but their just moving it to annoy me (i know its a hardware issue though lol). The best comparison i can give is that video that shows how to spot an aimbot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjqEklIbiRI) it jumps around exactly like that and has happened in halo ce and h2v sometimes too, however its the most annoying in max when modeling or doing anything. i checked for updated drivers and i have the most recent ones, but for some reason i think its the "enhance pointer precision" option in the mouse properties (i have it checked). so does anyone think they know how to fix it or do you have a similar problem?
