I'll do my best to help anyone with questions about the editing kit in this thread. Anyone who would like to join up and help answer questions people post would be a great help.

I do most of my work in the shaders section of the editing kit, but I do know much of it now.

My only question is shader configuration. Every time I set one up for example- a floor it looks cartoony. Or if i do a ground i have black spots everywhere. That is my only question and i m sure a question many have.

Look at your alpha map. If your texture contains one, make sure you compile it as explicit alpha or higher. If you are using bump-maps, make sure it's set to height map and 32 bit with a bump height of 5 or above.

how can i add lights using shaders...i mean, i can make bloom but it doesn't give off light. (this can be dynamic or lightmaps, btw).

Sunny have you used any of the bloom effects in the sky tag? and have you figured out how to make them work? I've been trying to do that for awhile and had a feeling you would try it as well.

I haven't tried yet, I'll see what I can do.

For adding light to shaders, the shader should be one with an illum name. Look for the light emitting area. The amount should be less than 1, as higher is extremely bright.
