looks to me like the shader or the bitmap which is a sprite i think, or it could be UVW'd wrong or messed up.

Oh, I had that too when I made my custom turrets. You have to open up the shader_transparent_chicago tag and go to the bottom where the "2D texture animation" data is. You need to fool around with the "rotation-animation center" values until it rotates correctly. I used x = 1.5 and y = 2.5 for mine and it worked perfectly.
