Is there an actual ranking system in H2V? I was just wondering, because I haven't found it yet...

Okay good. I was just making sure. I don't like ranks, but I do like to be able to keep track of my stats. Which they should make a stat tracker for this game!

Ranks are good though cause it keeps the casual gamer away from the guy who plays 24/7 though. There is no stat tracker neither... which is a shame.

The funny thing is that the dedicated server program actually tracks stats and outputs them in a text file so in a sense there could be a server ranking system in the works.

So technically someone could make a stat-tracker site for dedicated servers?

I'm sure that I could be possible but I think that It would require some type of addon to the server in order for the server to report said stats to the website.

Or else we could memory hack the personal stats for each game and do a personal stat tracker that way, rather than on servers.

there in XML format and apparently it keeps track by match. So the list of files is huge. It has a bunch of matches from one of our servers.
anyway heres a link for anyone to download them ;)

Thank you!
unfortunately those are many match reports...I think it's easier reading each match...and add them up ;)

yea I thought it was going to be all added up too. I'm sure that if all the servers have something like this then someone will be able to make a system like bungie has for H2X.

I never was in XA that guy just stole my damn name then got caught hacking..............god damn it.........I h8 when people think that I'm that guy....thats why I use Chromide instead of Chrome now(plus thats what i made my XBL account when i first got my xbox)

Ahh, I see what it does. It creates a number ID for a match, then it makes an ID for each player.
It would probably take a bit of work, but for the most part, you'll have a working system pretty easily, if it's in XML, and all laid out somewhat nicely.

I could see someone setting up a webserver alongside the normal server, so when the server's IP is accessed on port 80, you can check server/player stats.

I think thats the only way. Because where the folder is located by default it is not accessible unless the server is web enabled and since most arn't by default many servers wouldn't work.

I liked the level system Bungie did with Halo 2 Xbox Live.
Keeps you from having a shitty team.

Yeah it did. But then you got the people who mod their xbox so they can get to 50. That's why I don't like ranks. I just want to play a game. I don't wanted to cheated every game.
