Time to get 'em when they're cheaper

The X360 and PS3 have been out for some time now, and so older Xbox and PS2 titles are falling in price. New titles for those last-gen consoles are still $30-$50, but older titles are quite cheap now.

I own an Xbox 360 but I don't have any "old" games for it anymore. I'm planning to get a pre-played Halo Triple Pack this summer just so I can experience the "original" Halo 1 although I have both Halo games for PC now.

When I had my xbox (which I sold as a bundle with all my games/peripherals), I owned the following games:

007 Everything or Nothing
007 Nightfire
007 Agent Under Fire (I'm a diehard 007 fan as you can see)
Kung Fu Chaos (crap bday present that I never asked for)
Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex (sadly this was the FIRST xbox game I owned)
Blinx the Time Sweeper (another crap present that I never asked for)
Star Wars Episode 3 movie tie-in (yet another shitty present)
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (now have it on PC)
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (now have it on PC)
DDR Ultramix 2 (for my older sister, since I'm not a DDR fan)

So, any recommendations for me? I'm going to check out the bargain bins and the pre-played sections this summer. See if you can name any quality titles for me to buy. I want some old Xbox 1 games, not new X360 games that cost $60 Canadian and up.

I plan to re-buy the 007 games I used to own, and maybe get From Russia With Love. I will also get the Halo Triple Pack as previous mentioned. Should I buy BLACK? Or even the Conker remake?

Note: I don't like racing games or those arena beat-em-ups like Mortal Kombat. I also hate sports-based games like basketball and tennis simulations. If a good Xbox game is also on PC (like splinter cell) I would prefer the PC version.

BLACK is a great game. Not a lot of replay value, but you can come back to it after not playing it for a while and it'll still be fun.

I guess I'll definitely buy BLACK when I go check out the pre-played section. It's retailing for $10 or less over there - good price, good game.

I saw several reviews for Red Faction 2 - looks awesome too. Lack of online play won't hurt me.

woot I just bought BLACK and From Russia With Love. I couldn't find Red Faction 2 but I didn't have much time to spend hunting around EB's shelves. Maybe next time...

Got any other good games to recommend? I wish MGS3 would be ported to the xbox like MGS2 was :(

If it's just xbox games, then look through the compatability list (if you have an xbox 360)

If you're looking at PS games, have a look around at the Granturismo series. That series of racing games got me into gaming properly.

I only have an X360. I'm aware of the compatibility list. Turns out From Russia with love wasn't on it when I checked on the xbox website.

however, there are too many games to look at...plus I'd like to know which are very popular.

btw Rosco I don't like racers :P I don't know why but I've just never had much fun with trying to beat a competing car to the finish line, unless I can use weapons (the only racers I like are Mario Kart DS and Twisted Metal).

I just tried BLACK, you guys were right, it's excellent despite lackluster AI. Really feel likes "gun porn."

Black has some of the best visuals i've seen for xbox and PS2, its freaking crazy whoring your shitty integrated graphics to play stuff with HDR lol. Just not as bright and shiny.

Heck yeah, BLACK looks great despite its shortcomings. I hope there's an x360/ps3 sequel with better AI, even better physics than what we already have, and multiplayer with split screen support (because split screen is what I'm limited to for x360 MP). BLACK is a game that really screams for multiplayer

any other recommendations for good xbox games? I saw Conker for $5 in the pre-played section, and I might try it out.
