I doubt it.
I don't think anyone's gonna try it for a while either...
But kep watching the Release forum, you might see it some time!

If you need any models exported to .ASS, I will do it for you.

Cool, thanks. But is there a way to export a model from gmax to 3dsmax?
All I want to do is make a huge space map with 8 on 8 banshee battles. I think it'd be kick ass lol.

You could try saving it as a certain file, reopening it in max and exporting it there.

Yeah, I guess I can do that. I'll probably build the map in gmax then get the max 9 trial. Unless someone has a crack for it...:p jk, I'm rich, just not that rich.

Use a trial of 3ds max:
http://files.h2vista.net/software/3dsmax/
Start with 6 and work your way to 9.

There was this one file type that could be exported from Gmax fairly easily...
Bah
Ghost's JMS exporter - > Gbxmodel -> Ghost's Gbxmodel importer
Should do the trick.

Oh yeah, that would work. I'm sure there will be a gmax sxript before the 4 months run out for those.
Thanks, ghost :)
Oh yeah, forgot about the jms exporter. Thanks, but Ghost's idea is more lazy, and I'm american. xD

i just use a .obj export scripst for gmax. search xzzy .obj script
or jsut click this link to dl :)
http://kupio.lunarpages.com/~tru7h02/halo/gmax_render/xzzy_obj_tool.ms
you will most likely need to export from gmax using this scris, then import to max with this scrips. if you dont, some faces may be flipped, or what happened to me, every other face was flipped.
