View Full Version : Gaming systems you own

Out of curiosity and boredom, I decided to make another useless thread which is basically a survey of what gaming systems you play on other than the PC (and no flames!). Here's what I have:
xbox 360 (brand new!!!!)
Nintendo DS (original silver version -__- I want the Lite)
PDA that plays wolf-3D and doom 1
Cell phone that plays splinter cell 2D, snake, and bomberman
nintendo 64 and PS1 emulators (emulation of older discontinued systems is legal since the company no longer makes them or the games)
GBA emulator
In addition, my neighbor has everything that has to do with Playstation (ps1, psp, fat ps2, slim ps2), and just got a PS3. I'm going next door soon to play Resistance: Fall of Man for the fifth time.
And on the =EP= forums there's this guy called Gamerguy34 who owns pretty much every home console ever made, from the original 1972 Pong machines to Commodore 64s to sega saturns to today's generation.

Nintendo 64 - Still kept for the often times I get a craving for some Goldeneye.
Virtual Boy - A dark time in my life.
Gamecube - Was an awesome system.
Xbox - Currently owned by Grunty Thirst.
Xbox 360 - Mine. Get away, don't look at it.
And then there is my PC, even though its sole use is not gaming I consider it a gaming system.

There's nothing wrong with playing old games, infact it's so cheap to buy them I believe it's EASIER to get the old stuff.

oh I see, so they implement games into a calculator, I didn't know that simply because I don't use calculators with those abilities. :p

Gameboy Color

I also have had a PC for most of that time and my handy TI-83 that got me through many a boring day. I even made a few games for it myself.
Out of all of them, I'd have to say the one I enjoyed most was the N64. I got it for Christmas the season it was out and I played it soo much. Mario 64, Shadows of the Empire, Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time...... The list goes on and on. None of the other consoles have a lineup or experience that can compare to the level of enjoyment I had with the 64. The Wiichuck has potential though, just as the truly 3d environment did of the 64 which drew me in.

And while I don't actually own this console, I can play it very often because the owner lives next door: Playstation 3. It's pretty impressive, and it'll impress once more when my neighbor buys Blu-ray movies. Resistance Fall of man co-op is so fun, and deathmatch multiplayer is great too (one way in which PS3 > X360 is the free online MP, which was quite smooth).
Elite Killa, do you have a job, or do you save your allowance/lunch money? I have neither, but I do buy/sell junk very frequently and have made $4000 out of that. I also fooled this Chinese man by selling my old desktop for the equivalent of $2500 USD, a total rip-off (Intel P4 3.6Ghz, 1 GB DDR, ATI Radeon X800XT, 160GB single SATA3.0gb/s HDD, some dedicated pci sound card). Then I got my current rig for $800 (included nero 7 ultra and 3 games) and my current laptop for $1600 (this deal wasn't so good since Intel Core/2 Duo hadn't come out yet when I bought the laptop).
A gaming system I plan to get in the near future is the next PSP. I got the DS because it controls far better (and the touch screen makes games way more creative and fun) but it suffers from a lack of good ol' M-rated shoot-em-ups. MP:H was good, but where's the bloody violent sh1t like Doom and wolfenstein? On the other hand, Sony has GTA and MGS and armored core. Once they improve the design of their next portable (add a second analog stick or at least move the stick to the right, and add some buttons to substitute from the loss of R2/L2), I'm buying tha.

ZSNES is the best emulator for any system ever, period. I love running Super Metroid with 10 times clearer graphics and better sound quality than it ever had on the Super Nintendo.
