Well, I have been trying to upgrade my parents computer for months now, but they seem to think that that is the best computer they ever had (I cant think how the hell) They have a 1998 eMachine with:
466 Mhz Intel Celeron processor
64 MB of RAM
8.4 GB of hard drive
4 Mb AGP Graphics card (i think it is a turbo raptor or something like that)
Runs on Windows 98 (the old one, not the revised edition)Now the computer that im trying to convince them is a Gateway owned by the University of Florida that is in great condition and all it needs is an OS (which is not a problem because I can install XP in it) with the following:
1 Ghz Pentium III Processor
512 Ram
20.4 GB
I don't know about the graphicsFinal price?
15 bucks.
If I manage to convince them, they can stop nagging about the slowness of their computer and the 6.4 gigabytes of viruses that the computer has (yes it has a lot of viruses), and they will stop taking my laptop or my sister's laptop to look at HG-fucking-tv.com.
Would you do it?
