Hey guys. I have a small question. Lets say i waned to make a floating base in max. I would make it in max and put it inside my skybox. But what should i name it and is just leaving it there enough. i mean do i have to link it to anything. Also if i want to make an all-around sky (ascension), do i give all the faces of my box the same idea and a name of +sky. I would really appreciate your help guys thanks

Oh and if you have time...
When you make a plane for water, what do u have to do with it (im talking max). I know i should give it a name of +media, but should i convert it into a editable poly (mesh), should i link it to something or attach it?

For the floating base, refer to instancing in the Halo 2 Map Editor help files.

As for water, search the forums, there's plenty of resources/knowledge built up for this.
