Whenever I compile and light this .ass file im using after it compiles it say
usage: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2 Map Editor\\h2tool.exe verb <options..>
lightmaps <scenario> <bsp-name> <quality-setting>

What is the problem?

It looks like you didn't reference it correctly, if it gives you what to type in the brackets.
If you keep on having problems with the H2Editor's browse function, just copy a CMD.exe to the H2 editors folder and proceed by just typing in h2tool, then the functions you want it to continue through with.

What is the problem?
Make sure your .ass' name does not have spaces in it.

lol thx flyinrooster. my .ass name did have a space in it. shooting range.ASS

usage: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2 Map Editor\\h2tool.exe verb Well, if thats what your typing into the CMD, you have a extra backslash in there. If its a typing mistake, then never mind.

I think that extra backslash denotes that a program is being used, rather than another folder or directory named "h2tool.exe".

Trust me, ive done this before, that backslash is not supposed to be there, there should only be one. Its the same with all the programs run in CMD.

In between halo 2 Map Editor and h2Tool, there's one slash too many.
