for some reason sapien wasn't working so i uninstall the map editor and all my scenario and custoim bitmaps/shaders are gone! his there a way tp get them back?

i haven't backed up my files so i cant do that... tried restoring... but there has t=to be a way i thought files couldn't be permanently deletely unless you broke your hard drive

ok... well... i uninstalled the map editor and all files are gone, even custom ones like shaders, bitmaps, and scenarios. how do i get them back?

if you uninstalled them then i think it will just remove the "Halo 2 Map Editor" Folder unlike the Halo CE Hek where it nearly left anything that wasnt default, So i doubt there is a way to get them back

Right click on any of the folders where the content was deleted and look to see if there is a "Restore previous versions" option. If there isn't your fuct.

actually, i just realized that my restored files are currupt:( any1 know why?Most restoration software can only restore what it can from the hard drive as the data may have been overwritten by newer files.

Actually, that is a problem with the software. H2V's EK is the only application with saved data I'm aware of that would delete personal content without permission. Someone set up a dummy vista instalation and install the editing kit in various windows-critical folders and see if it ruins the install.
