Checking for Updates Fix

That annoying screen that says "Checking for Updates" when you try to load the game list has been completely useless. We all know Bungie has given up on Halo PC and that there won't be an more updates from now on. So is there some sorta hack that can bypass this screen for both Halo PC and CE? I've tried searching but haven't found anything. Is it even possible to make such a hack?

Just grab a new ui.map that doesn't have the checking for updates screen.
