Anyways, it's my friend Troy's 18th and we're heading over to his place for some Gears (which, interestingly enough, I have no trouble beating him at... even though he owns the game and I've played it for about 2 hours at most), then tomorrow we'll be out paintballing. I don't like moving my PC around and his place is about 45 minutes' drive from mine, I think; as a result, I probably won't be posting while I'm gone because I'll either be gaming on his or playing the 360.

Anyone got tips on how not to get nailed at paintball? My pain threshold isn't exactly high and I don't plan on getting hit much :o

Hide behind trees; find good cover (any grass you can put over yourself helps); run from tree to tree on the count of 3, don't be afraid of getting out in the open as long as it isn't for long; if someone is coming by and is close to you, stay still--the human eye likes over looking things that don't move; don't be afraid to ruin any clothes you have by hitting the deck or slipping (I came back with mud all over me once, was a fun game); get a good gun :X.

Wear winter clothes, you don't feel a thing! You'll just sweat a lot ;)

Also, paintballing is fun. If you get hit just keep shooting back, you wont notice the pain. You might feel numbeness in spots after your done though, but it's fun! Wear Goggles and if needed, bring a condom for some hot ladies who are lost in the woods or something:)

I WAS going to make myself a fucking fully-fledged Ghillie suit, but apparently there's not enough woodland to make that work. Fuck. I was all set to hide in the ground cover and ambush bitches, too :saddowns:

Stay low and hide in bushes. If the bushes dont stop the paintball, usually itll at least take the brunt of the force from hurting you :XD:

Roll? wtf? you're probably the dumbest airsofter i know. rolling means that eventually you will have to get up, and that means you will be defenseless. Moving alot is also dumb, just stick to your spot and just rush from place to place.

do what i did.

bust out some dancing, mb even some moon walking. thats what i did.

untill someone with a bullshit high powered gun got me right between the eyes.

my gun sucked ass and drippled every bullet out, it could shoot about a metre and it smelt funny. my only offence i could muster was to break dance, just out of range of there guns. lol i made them fire like 50 balls xD

Turns out that's exactly what they gave us. Tippmann 98 custom, I think, with a 200-ball hopper and semi-auto only... supposedly. Every now and then one pull would spit out 2 or 3 balls, and when they got low on gas they'd blast out half a hopper in a few seconds :haw:

There were a few pros with pumps and autos spraying for all they were worth while I fought to get a paintball to land where I aimed it, but they weren't actually that much of a problem. The pump guy hit me twice but the balls just bounced, other than that they didn't give me any trouble :)

Hey fuck you ok. I barrel-rolled down a hill and didn't get hit. In fact, I didn't take many hits at all... one grazed my thumb, one got me in the visor (paint tastes like what I'd imagine shit to be like, just so you all know), one in the back of the knee as I walked back to the start position and another in the front, one in the left hand, one in the hip which just bounced, one in each elbow which both bounced, and a pair bounced off the top of my head. One also clipped my visor and burst on it, didn't really notice though. Dad was talking shit, paintball doesn't hurt much. I didn't even notice half of them, all that's sore now are my legs from crouching so much :smith:

Thanks, though. I had a hell of a lot of fun, even if I wasted a good 80&#37; of my paintballs on suppressing fire :p Running like mad across open ground and then throwing yourself into cover is surprisingly fun, even if you only ever hit one or two people.
