So, I'm trying out Linux. Ubuntu to be exact.

I don't feel as productive on Linux as I do on Windows, even though I'm aware that Windows is shit. God help me. This OS is nice and all... but, where's all my apps I love? I want photoshop, and 3ds max! Oh well... You can't always get what you want.

I'm going back to Vista.

That is due to the overwhelming monopoly that Microsoft has on the market. If you want your applications on a Unix based system, I recommend waiting for the next installment of the Macintosh OS, or until companies finally come to realize that they are not really making any more money by making their products Windows exclusive.

You could use Wine (http://www.winehq.org/)to run windows programs in Linux.
