Not that i care to much about it but you can completely setup the stuff for a race on a map... but you can't select race anywhere in the game :p

At least it's in H3.

I just Noticed that a few moments ago too, Maybe someone will modify the mainmenu.map to enable it.

That is if the game programming for Race was completed, and that H2V's netcode already supports it. It's unlikely

That'd be great if H1's netcode was left in for that part. Or at least instructional support from H1.
You all get ready for race... and then BAM! Fatal Exception. Yays.

i believe they left the code in sapian, acctually i just checked, and it is in there... so why would they have it in sapian but not in h2v?

The code, yes. But as for networking support - which is "netcode," the code made to support race over the internet - may be old, outdated, or nonexistent.

If anyone were to pursue unlocking this, take the path with a grain of salt; just because it's there doesn't mean it works.
Examples:
The (attract_mode_start) function exists in Halo PC, but it doesn't do shit. If executed on an XBox, it would play the attract (demo) videos.
CE's ui_widget_definition tags have function calls for XBox-only functions, namely co-operative mode settings. These don't do jack shit either, since split-screen coding was removed from the PC build of Halo.
A ton of functions listed in Halo 2's hs_doc don't work.
What I'm saying is: this is the end, so throw all your hands up...
Bungie loves to leave artifacts in their ports.
