this map model i have been working on for atleast 2 weeks, i already got it into halo ce.. though im making some tag changes so exspect that in the future. The reflections are really wierd for some reason... i have lightmaps at super high but it still does it so.. try to avoid it :(. The Cliffes are from Halo 1. I also decided to use my first water and waterfall shaders as well :). This is also the first time i got alphas to work and all that. Any way, time to cut to da pics. Also made my own strings for territories.

Why is everything a bright yellow?.....
The texture job makes me not want to play the map.

not bad...better than anything I could do but not bad at all. Things look a little to blocky IMHO....

i made sure it wosent blocky... this whole thing start with 1 vertex.. then i kept going... the model came out exactly how i planned

It has some really shiny parts! s-h-i-n-y. It looks ok. just the texturing...

One thing I recommend for ANY released map so far in H2, is to work on the texturing. And for your shaders, add detail maps. Halo 2 is REALLY good at making textures look beautiful, but, from all the maps I have seen released, they all basically have poor detail applied. Please do :(

i added detail maps, but they didnt show up; hopefully you guys will love my next map. I'll post a Pic later
EDIT: Heres another pic of the map faceing blue base (I know shaders are still horrid)

Make sure the template you are using is tex_bump_detail_blend_detail.

And take away the shine from the cliff shaders

Take away the shine from all of the terrain, pretty much. Make sure the specular type is set to diffuse.

Take away those horrid halo 1 bitmaps :/.
