And my internet will intermediately cut off every hour or so. I live in the middle of fucking Los Angeles here and my parents are paying $30-50 a month.
Oh yeah, we've been through several modems, routers, etc.

Then when i had problems with there modem (AKA a few days ago b/c of my new router) I was only hold 7hrs, talked to some one for 4hrs. And they didnt answer my question. Though i did figure out what was wrong. No thanks to them.
And this is only one of my many wonderful customer rep.

Wireless > Cable. I have Comcast wireless, and I've never had any problems whatsoever. I have a great router, and the service is exceptional.

1536kbps down/256kbps up
20GB cap, shaped to 64k down if I break it (I never do, closest I've come was about 16GB)
Usually gets the speeds it's meant to. Flickers on and off for a few seconds every few weeks, but never really goes down unless the modem is at fault (generally only after severe storms). $59.95/mo.
Cable here exists only in the innermost suburbs of each state capital and even then it's unreliable and prohibitively expensive. ADSL2+ is beginning to become more readily available, but not where I live.
I'm with Internode, easily the best ISP in the country. Telstra are fucking ripoff merchants and most of the others are either unreliable or expensive; Internode also has awesome customer support (my dad had trouble getting some work shit to connect after we switched from a supremely shitty Telstra plan, and ended up getting help from Simon Hackett - the owner - within a day or two of him posting on the forums).

Hmm...I'm using DSL, the only problems I have with it is that my bandwidth is a little less the advertised, but that's not a HUGE problem.
Though I tend to agree that cable is better then DSL.
