Well, I obviously am; how about the rest of you?

N.B. - Furries are the scum of the Earth and also don't count. I'm willing to make an exception for Lightning on the condition he hurries the fuck up with that release he promised...

I have Muscovy ducks, we've kept them ever since a pair took up residence in my nanna's backyard. 2 at the moment... we gave one to a some park for injured ducks and geese down in Sydney because Jimmy (our huge old drake) kept fighting with him, then we got one from WIRES (she's been hit by a car), but she died about 8 months ago. We have another female now, and aside from the ducklings (which we give to friends down the road and also the school farm), we've only got her and Jim to look after. Jimmy must be at least 7 now, and he's about as tanky as ducks get.

I used to have a pair of peach-faced lovebirds (Basil and Sybil) when I still lived in Canada, I think relatives are looking after them now.

Also, I want a pet eagle... golden, ironically...

Does this thing (http://alas.matf.bg.ac.yu/~ml04063/images/daffy_duck_02.jpg) count as a bird? If so, then I like them.

I used to have a cool cockatiel(spelling). It was a cool bird, and stayed with me for 7 years until it died.

EDIT: On topic, as far as birds go, I really like the Shrike. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/shrike)

That is SO wrong...

Personally I'm a fan of the falcon and hawk family.

Mainly the Red Tailed Hawk and the Peregrine Falcon. :)

However my favorite would be the Bald Eagle.

I don't like them so much as I'd like to be one, or any flying animal. Flying would be :awesome:.

Flying is easy. Just join the spectators.

1. :-?
Abbreviation. Used to denote... well, something one should note.

2. *Lightning :eng101:
Whoops. Thanks for calling me on that one, I'm none too deft with a keyboard in the morning.

3. I am not understanding this thread. :-3
There isn't much to understand, I was just enquiring as to who else here is interested in birds.

And how is the latter ironic? :raise:
I assume he meant the fact that we both like the golden eagle. Beautiful animal, so hardly surprising :p
