Now I'm not really trying to "advertise" the place, but I found this really cool web site that sells weapons. They take concepts from animes, movies, and other stuff, and make actral weapons out of them. Not toned down replicas, but the real deal. Look at how baddass this thing looks...

Think of deer hunting with that thing! Sure, it would be extremely hard, evil, illegal, and messy, but dang it would be awesome! I want it. :(

Yah, please don't give me a warning or anything for advertising, I just thought is was cool. :)

too bad that thing would never, ever work--unless you swung it so fast that it did cut well.

The way I see it it would wrap around the victim, then you just pull to cut. It says it's extremely sharp.

Its might hurt a lot, but that isn't going to stop a determined attacker at all.

not to mention that these are cheap movie replica weapons and not really weapons designed for combat.

oh, and old.

Posted before, or everybody just knows about it already?

how the heck would you wrap that thing around them and choke? to choke you would need to pull from either side, there is no magical "coiling action" in rl D:

Bah, I don't have to thing so I don't really know. Depending on how long it is, how sharp it is, and how flexible it is, it might work. But again, I don't know. :eyesroll:

You're more likely to kill yourself with that.

I have to agree with you there. Pretty much all I can see happening is somebody trying to act baddass and whipping themselves. :XD:

I don't get it, if it's just for looks why would they bother to sharpen the edges? If I ever buy a sword, it's not going to be on display, I'm chopping stuff with it...

At least 70% of the swords you buy from websites are display only. I should know, as my friend has about 50. If you try to swordfight with them, they chip really easily.

No. Not in that thin of a weapon. It's really just there to protect from rust.
