For those of you that have seen Transformers, you've seen this trailer (http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/11808/), I think its another Godzilla, but im still not too sure. Looks quite cool, and supposedly its all gonna be shot like a home video. Makes it look really realistic imo. What do you guys think?

Theres also the website (http://www.1-18-08.com/), its only got 4 pictures that you can move around and theres some slusho website (http://www.slusho.jp/) that has something to do with the film.

I saw it just today and I must tell you. You will not be dissapointed. It's not about "The guy who helps the robots, saves the world, and gets the BABE." It's not like Godzilla, I shouldn't have tp explain what it's like, the previews give you a TINY taste of that. It is really good dude, you have to see it >.>

My friend's into an Alternate Reality Game tied with this production: http://ethanhaaswasright.com/ (no, not the Ethan Haas from that crappy show "The Class"), and he tells me that supposedly this movie will have something to do with H.P. Lovecraft mythos regarding something called Cthulhu? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulhu)

For the first puzzle, you have to click the rising plates (or whatever they are) in the correct order.
For the second, you have to spell "HA" on the vertical cypher and "AS" on the horizontal cypher. The alien characters correspond to English, and if you click the star in the top right corner, they'll give you the list of characters in alphabetical order.
For the third game, you have to play 3D Chinese Checkers... jump the blue lights over each other on the two front faces of the cube-thing, and when you move them to an acceptable spot it'll glow green. You have to jump them over each other in such a way as to make all of the blue lights disappear.
For the fourth game, you move the blue arrow around the chart using your arrow keys, and the green arows will move accordingly. The object is to get all of the green arrows onto the gears. The combination from the starting position is: up, left, down, down, left, right, up, right, up, left, left.
For the fifth and final game, you must once again refer to the alien alphabet in the top right. In the brown boxes, click on them to cycle through the alien characters so that they would spell "thebeginningistheend" in English. The first line will read "thebeginni", and the second will read "ngistheend".
That's all I've got for now.

Confirms connection between 1-18-08 and ethanhaaswasright

Your description of the game in puzzle 3 is a bit off. It's a variation on "pegged". Jump the lights in such a fashion that only one remains at the end. If you end up with two and no moves left, the game restarts.

EDIT: I've found something at

http://www.thehansofoundation.org/adkahdskja2897429834ahjkncawuye32782374/

One of the executive bios has lettering scrolling across its picture at an extremely high speed. I opened a new window with the site in it, and switched to it to make the other flash run slower, so I could make it out. It reads "SURVIVOR GU". Now, I googled that, and it turns out there's apparently something called the "Survivor's Gu". I don't know what it is, but I think it's some kind of guide.

EDIT: Looked at it again, it turns out the animation was skipping a few letters. It says, "Survivor GU(blank)L(blank)." "Survivor guild"? The group of people that that Van Mantra guy on ethanhaaswasright was talking about, maybe? The ones who will survive whatever catastrophe is coming?

I can't find anything about it on the wiki. Is it a new discovery?

Okay, so this is a hell of a lot more interesting than IRIS, and more eventful.

Also, why can't other people develop their websites as awesomely as the Hanso foundation's? :(

EDIT:

Also, go to that site, click "active projects" in the nav menu, click the electromagnetic one, then click the picture of the northern lights. When the person asks for a password, type in "conspiraspies". No, it's not a typo. There's some freaky shit in there.

Also, click on the mental health project, then click "inquire now". Type "light sequence again" into the box, and click submit. More freaky shit.

You're talking about something less awesome than the REAL Godzilla/Gojira. You talk of GINO, or Godzilla In Name Only, a soulless piece of shit created so Matthew Broderick could line his pockets with Eagle.

Glad we could get that out of the way.

Anyways, I've just stumbled upon an interesting theory on another forum. I haven't found who the original theorizer is, but here it is:

In Jewish belief, Behemoth is the primal unconquerable monster of the land, as Leviathan is the primal monster of the waters of the sea and Ziz the primordial monster of the sky.

1) The first monster roar is accompanied by an earthquake (Behemoth)
2) The second monster roar is accompanied by a huge fireball (Leviathan, for it can breathe fire)
3) The third monster roar is accompanied by the flying Statue of Liberty head (Ziz).

Not convinced?

The guy who says "maybe we can get a better view from the roof" has the Slusho logo on his shirt. Slusho is a classic J.J. Abrams icon, and it has appeared in both Alias and Lost, which are his shows.

Slusho.jp has, by now, been confirmed as a part of the viral marketing campaign revolving around 1-18-08. Japan. Strangely enough, the character Rob, who is present in the trailer, was gonna fly to Japan a day after that party and the monster events.

Let's have a look around on that site. Not all pages are accessible. But there is an odd feature about the pages that are available. The main page background is on land, the Downloads page background is on air, and the History page background is on sea.

Furthermore, the six buttons on the main page cause popups of various animals, namely a Horse, a Whale and a Bird. Behemoth, Leviathan, Ziz.
Just thought it was worth posting.

And the parasites look exactly like this.
http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/5909/pageacq0.jpg

And someone's driscription of the monster.
The monster itself is about 30 stories tall, and has grayish, transparent skin, like a deep sea creature. You can see THRU it just a little bit. It walks sort of hunched over and has two HUGE arms that bend forward at the elbow kind of like a spider. It moves upright in most scenes but when it does use its front arms, It actually walks a lot like how a Bat walks around in a cave. It has a slightly humanoid face ( but in a very cool way) where it has slits for its eyes and the mouth kinda reminds me of a Predator's mouth. Its fangs hang over its lips giving it a bulldog look. It has breathing sacks right next to where its ears should be which is common in animals like lizards and stuff.

No tentacles BUT it has a long tail that is oddly reminiscent of a tadpole tail or something close to it. Other than it being just as long as the body, it does not drag and is VERY flat at the end. While you don't get to see a WHOLE lot of the monster you DO get to see it up close a few time and it's VERY VERY cool.

sorry if my grammar is horrible, I'm doped up on cough medicine right now lol.

Imagine that, but slightly more 'transparent' (not much) like a jelly fish almost. It looks 'close' to that. Well, thats what i'd describe it as. But that image looks very close, like that must be a 'near' final concept art.
Good stuff.

(btw, that pic isn't the monster, it's a 'close' representation of it though...Tail is different from what u actually see of the monster, and the head is completely different but the body is almost like that, that pic is really a good 'what to look forward to image'.)

And yea, Aerowyn, it looks nothing like that, i believe that was original concept art/fan art. Not sure. Looks cool though lol.

Whale has a certain familiarity about it, but at the same time looks menacing and generally like it could rip apart a building in a second. Tbh that concept art is one of the cooler things I've seen.

I really liked it, although I think the monster wasn't as suprising as I thought it would be and the ending was kind of meh.

At the end of the film they say "It's still alive" or something to that effect backwards. Also, I'm confused about the parasite things, when they bite do they just cause the person to explode in a horrible manner or does a new one of the bastard things come out?

Just got back from seeing it, and its awesome. I love how its all filmed from a hand held camera. Very cool plot, and the sheer terror of not knowing what the fuck was attacking you is probably scarier than the actual monster.
