Whats up with LIVE today 7-24-07

Nobody can get into any games since like 8:00 AM (ET) it is now 1:30 and still nothing? I have messaged all of my friends and they cannot get on anywhere either. Caht and messages still work though. One of my freinds on a 360 told me none of his other games r woring either. Did I miss some kind of server repair announcement or something????

Sry if this tread is a waste of space and feel free to delete it, but i just had to ask.

Well, with the amount of servers they have, and the uptime they run. Wouldn't you think they have to do a bit of re-organizing/rescheduling? Regular maintinence? Towards the end of the month? You know, just routine...

It's Microsoft, you never know what they're doin'.

It's True We couldent find servers but we could invite friends and it was realy weard it was like 1/2 of live stoped workin for a little wile untill me and a buddy tryed to play cod3 and h2x then we split up and now hes playin in vegas and im on a lost planet!

Ya Live is having "technical difficulties" today see major nelson's blog he works for xbox http://majornelson.com/archive/2007/07/24/having-xbox-live-issues-7-24-07.aspx. Although it looks like everything is fine now, if your sill having problems post on his blog the operations center (aka live central) is like just down the hall from his office.

EDIT: So much for that. Oh, I just realized that on the main Live page (before you select 'Browse Games'), it shows Live's status. Right now, everything appears as "Not Available."

I'm bitterly disappointed, I really wanted to play some tonight. Oh well.

That's right, they replaced it with the invitation feature. Yet another thing completely standard in other games replaced by a pay-to-use feature. :v

This sucks. The 360 has been working fine on live and this is now day 2 of no vista servers. At least bungie warns folks before they take down the xbox halo servers. It isnt like these guys didnt have YEARS to prepare for this with the xbox version working for so long. Now for them to take it down without even an email to the members and no word at all of when of IF it will come back up....poor management and developement. At least let us know what the hell is going on.

I just called XBL. THey said they were having problems world-wide. They also say that most console players can get onto live its just the PC thats still F#$%ed up (figures). They say it should be working fine by tonight (Eastern Time). Hope that takes the edge of some of this.

Goto your halo 2 maps folder
Usually:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2\maps
Now. See your 00a_introduction.map file?
Move 01b_spacestation-08b_detlacontrol somewhere else
Make 14 more copys of that. then rename the copys

01b_spacestation
03a_oldmombasa
03b_newmombasa
04a_gasgiant
04b_floodlab
05a_deltaapproach
05b_deltatowers
06a_sentinelwalls
06b_floodzone
07a_highcharity
07b_forerunnership

Then just do it on legendary.
Everytime you see the intro start, hit enter or A on the controler
It will be alot of loading screens but its faster than doing the whole game (again for some of us).
After you got what you came for just put the old maps back.
