...and I must say, it exceeded my expectations!
KIDDING!
Who would pay for this shit, honestly? Almost every new channel is complete garbage, and after two days I find myself almost not watching it altogether. Seriously, I got maybe 5 channels max that a can stand watching. It's as if the cable company expects me to say these things after installation...
"Yes! Now I have three identical versions of the same channel!"
"Hell yah! Now I have literally hundreds of "on demand" and pay-per-view channels!"
"MTV 3? Why of course!"
"Reruns of old shows nobody give a crap about? Bring it on!"
"Spanish weather channel? How did I ever live without it!"
"Cable radio featuring unknown random shitty bands? I'll listen to it every day!"
"A workout channel? Yes! Now I burn off all that extra ass fat I gained from trying to find something good on!"
"Why of course I'll pay extra for the speed channel!"
"All of those new shopping channels are wonderful!"
"I really love that huge ass cable box in my room!"
"Say what? I have to pay extra for each TV? What a great deal!"
"I love what you did with channel flipping! I used to always piss off my family with my fast channel flipping, but now I have to wait 5 seconds for each channel to load! Thank you time warner cable, for solving all my needs!"
The only reason I got this crap is because it comes bundled with my internet and phone service. Luckily it's only installed on one TV in my house. I guess the only real reason I would want this is for HD, and I don't have a HDTV...

Are you on DSL or FIOS or something?

Get satellite. Even if heavy thunderstorms block it out (sometimes), it is so much better. I recommend Dish. I wasn't too impressed with Direct TV.

Yeah but Time Warner ran so fast, they didn't see the trap the wily ConCast had set up. Now they get jack shit, or murdered.

I have expanded basic cable, and that's just fine. But does it really matter to you at all? Your parents bought it. Stop griping about something you don't have to pay for.

Only channels I care about are a few local channels, national news channels, international news channels (BBC), some movie channels like Starz (but not HBO), and Nicktoons Network (when I feel up for a flashback since Nickelodeon turned to shit 7 years ago).

I had Brigthouse which is pretty much Time Warner, it wasn't that bad. I prefer my DirecTV, with the expection of no on-demand Movie channels. :(

RABBIT EARS FTW.
I swear, comcast is stupid. We just moved and we seem to be in this fucking gap between where comcast doesn't doesn't support... let me draw it for you.
*- where comcast supports
x- where comcast doesn't support
u- where we live

And, if we want it to be out here, we have to pay then 6000$ to dig a trench for us. Yes, we're going to wait, but for now we have CenturyTel..... I miss weatherscan..... (whine)

I too have Digital cable but mine does not suck the amount yours does. Main reason is seeing classic shows like "Rocko's Modern Life" (those were the days) wish I had G4 though. However nothing beats endless "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" re-runs.

I agree, G4 is made a fail. They got like what, three shows they show every day? You have to watch the network yourself to see how crappy it is...
And another thing, whats with these channels with no commercials? As much as it sounds like a blessing, it's not. They play the same crappy videos or advertisements for themselves over and over again. It gets really old, very fast.
One more thing, wtf! I was checking out noggin yesterday expecting to find some lame teen dramas from nickelodeon, but what I found were lesbians, gay men, strippers, drinking, and curse words. Damn, I always thought nick would never show inappropriate content! Oh course that might just be because I was watching it at night.
