hi, i'm searching for a tool to decompress .map files already packaged. I didn't find it in the h2v map editor so i tried with a few old tools for h2xb, like dotHalo, but they don't have this feature too... I'd like to extract the whole content or at least to edit the .scenario tag. Thx in advance...

Please, no more maps modded D:

If thats what your getting at, but what kind of content do you want that's not already there?

A tag extractor is meant for the purposes of using existing content and making your own better.

A current tag extractor is not available.

Sorry.

I'd like to take a look at the campaign maps to find out something more about skulls... like when iwhbyd skull spawns or what effects they have. not for modding... for that there's my xb.. :D

EDIT: in the first post i meant decompress .map files, not extract.. sry [edited,,,]

Well, that's a matter of scripts/whateverelseidontknow, and I doubt you'll be able to extract those for a while. I haven't kept up with the H2X community, but I know they got really far with their stuff.

BTW, map packages aren't really compressed. If you RAR one up, it knocks off a good couple of megabytes.
