View Full Version : Embedded WMV files always zoomed

I can't take a screenshot of it, because no screen capture tool I can find actually captures any part of video players (a blank black square appears where they should be in every shot), but every embedded windows media file I play has the controls hidden down below the viewing area, along with a portion of the video. It's also cut off just to the right of the center of where the view should be. The zoom menu is greyed out, and going to full screen mode displays the controls, but the video is still zoomed. I'm using Windows Media Player 11.

VLC Media Player can take screenshots of videos. Google it. WMP doesn't want people pirating video pictures. -_-

VLC FTW! You can literally throw any type of media into VLC and it'll play.

Windows Snipping Tool lets you take screen captures with video in them.

That's Vista, not XP. Besides, the issue here is that my browser videos are getting cropped, not that I can't take a shot of it.

Go disable display overlay. Then you can screencap it.

Just curious, where would I do that? Regardless, this still isn't the topic of this thread.

Update WMP?

Wouldn't there be a notification if there was an update, or wouldn't Windows Auto Update (or whatever it's called) take care of it?
