View Full Version : Post your cell phone

since there are so many "post your" threads, I'll make one:

I currently use two cell phones. First is a Motorola RAZR V3X from Singapore, with a 2-MP camera, Bluetooth, and a 3G video call lens. The 3G lens makes it thicker than the original RAZR V3 but it's still slim and sexy enough.

I don't have a SIM card in this other phone, but it still is a cell phone. It's a second-hand Palm Treo 600 that was a gift from my aunt.

While I don't use the phone function of my Treo, it's still a reliable PDA.

Right, I shall rename it to mobile/cellular telephone.

This is what mine looks like aside from the blue light.
Mine's a white light...

And it sucks...

And I only use it once a month...

I use my Cell all the time, I've already (in 5 days of my Bill Month) used a little over a thousand minutes, and I've only got 1,500 a month. I've also used just about all of my 500 TXT messages. :(

Atty, your phone's D-pad kinda resembles a iPod click wheel. The slide-out keypad's keys look pretty big, even bigger than those on my sister's Nokia 6280.

I use my cell phone fairly often, but not often enough to warrant a subscription to any monthly service i.e. Telus. I use Rogers Pay-as-you-go where I have to top up the card every once in a while (it's expensive at 33 cents per minute but the Rogers monthly service will charge me even if I don't use my phone so this pay-as-you-go thing is actually more worthwhile for me).

Sometimes I do transfer my SIM card into my Treo PDA when I go on vacation (text messages are much easier to type on the Treo as you can see).

Now all Rogers needs is to incorporate the 3G video call service (which is unavailable in North America) so I can actually use that video call lens outside of Southeast Asia.

I wanted the Treo or something similar because I knew that I wasn't going to spend alot of time on the phone and using it as a scheduler, but I got stuck with the Sanyo Katana.

lol OLD RAZR V3. It has a VGA camera and no 3G video call camera, am I correct? My V3X is the same phone, except thicker with slightly faster hardware, a 2-MP cam and a 3G cam.

Is the V3X available in America yet?

I use my phone to talk, and really nothing else. And besides, I got it free from my work, so you can't really beat $free.99.

whoa awesome I didn't know Sony started making 5-MP phones. Before, the first 5-MP phone I saw (and my mom has one) was a Nokia N95. True media center phone too.

I use my phone for calling, texting, and surreptitious photography (LOL), plus I like to view pictures of my gf and of the day's snapshots, so my 2-MP camera in my RAZR V3X is quite important to me (my dad won't let me take his actual digital camera).

Anyone here ever use the video call feature in Asian phones? I love that feature, and it's more popular than I thought.

I'm craving more space for music, and a camera that doesn't blow (megapixels mean nothing when the optics suck), both which the k850i has. It'll be out some time this quarter.

O_0 really? I thought mobile was pronounced "moe-barl," whereas "moe-bill" is used if "mobile" is a suffix (i.e. Batmobile, Oldsmobile)

In Germany they say "Handy" the same way it's pronounced in English. :)

Every time I saw an iPhone I thought meh, overpriced crap.

Then I played around with it at an Apple store.

Now, every time I see it on TV I think "meh, expensive crap"....but deep within me I'm going OMG OMG THAT THING WAS SO FREAKING :awesome:

Not on my wish list (still not really worth it, imo) but still quite cool.

My friend just got a Helio. Friggin expensive, but by far the coolest and best phone I have ever seen. Thing even sports a really good 8 megapixel camera and several gigabytes of flash memory.

But it's the sliding bit that's the coolest. I expected it to be a cheesy piece of plastic, but it's the sturdiest phone I've ever seen with a screen that big, and it has a full qwerty keyboard.
