I was sitting in Macdonald's, when I looked up from my gourmet meal and noticed this poster displaying the names of Hong Kong's top 20 Macdonald's staff. For some reason, I decided to go through their names. I almost spat out my high-quality food when I saw this woman's name. I had my camera at the time, so I had to get a shot.

My god, the connotations of that name :downs:. I wonder what would happen if she dated a Westerner... :lol:

It is a common practice for people from Hong Kong and Taiwan to take western forenames when working for or dealing with western companies. As a result some chosen names can be fraught with innuendo totally lost upon them due to the differences in our societies. At one company I worked for our plant in Taiwan would sometimes hold naming ceremonies for new employees. The plant manager would always call to be sure selected names were not embarrassing. He was a smart man.
