If you count really really bad blackheads as acne, then yes. But I never have lots and lots of pimples on my face at one time.
Just a plethora of blackheads on my nose, forehead, and beneath my lips.

I've got it. It only really started spreading more a couple of months ago. A few weeks ago I got my hands on some Oxy pads. They're soaked in acid. It makes your skin flake off easier, so it doesn't clog pores. It's actually working :P

Just a plethora of blackheads on my nose, forehead, and beneath my lips. You don't use those strips? Or any blackhead wash? I don't have terrible acne, an odd pimple here or there (although before Christmas of last year I head perfect skin.) Right now its at it's worse, but its clearing up. Its not bad all over my face, a few on my cheeks but they are all sorta in one area so it doesn't look too bad. I'm terrible with it though, I try and pop every one (ooze out that nasty stuff) same with any blackheads I may encounter, although I wash my face daily (twice a day) and at night use those creams and what-not with Proactive. Its clearing now though and hopefully will be totally gone with in a few weeks.

NickTo feed the, "Acne covered nerd," stereotype even more. :downs:
Although it is a very disgusting thread, it is something that plagues a lot (I forget the stupid statistic, 90% maybe) of teenagers and adults, so its a worthwhile discussion for a forum made up mostly of that age group.

i have minor acne on my chin. I always rest my head on my sweaty palm, or scratch my nonexistent goatee when im thinking. Im pretty much acne free, mostly because i dont stress as much as the normal person (which means that my glands arent freaking out from stress), but if i exercise for two days in a row without really cleaning my face or if im under extreme pressure in schools (Y HALLO THEUR FYNALZ) my face gets more pimply than a christmas tree has ornaments.

If you don't like it, why don't you avoid posting? Seriously most threads, some person comes in and de-rails it. By posting this you will probably make a remark, I bet $50 you will post again in this same thread helping to de-rail it. Just leave, the thread has been on topic. Also, the reason I'm asking is because I'm curious, human nature is curiosity. And I'm like the only one in my school that suffers from bad acne, I wonder if anyone else shares the feelings I do or has a problem with it.
It's only bad for me because I don't get my hair cut that often and my long hair spreads it around (even though I wash my face all the time).
Same here :\
EDIT: @ WoL
Yeah when I get stressed the next day my acne goes wild, after that it usually calms down a bit. But even when it's calm it's still bad. Stress pretty much causes acne, and I get a lot of stress from my father back in germany trying to convince me to come back. Although me and my mom know hes a smoker (just cigarettes but still bad) and an alcoholic which makes him completely sick in the head. He even blamed the e-mail service not working on me, what an adult/father eh?

What treatments do you all use? I use proactive daily as well as some pore strips I stole from a girl friend. I also have a pretty good diet (had one before any acne showed up) and exercise quite regularly which I think helps it a lot.
Although having a pretty stress filled life doesn't aid to it (with constantly family health problems, and being up from 6AM on school days only to get home at 11PM non-stop working.)

I just got pore strips, kind of a girly cover and for medication I take pills called doxycycline, or something.
EDIT: The doctor said if I wanted to he could allow me to go to the Dermatologist and get perscribed for really heavy meds called Acutane or Acutone, I don't really know how to spell it. Anyway I wanted to try one thing, seeing the sideffects of acu-whatever.

I have some moderate acne along my forehead, occasionally on the chin-maybe after I shave, and not so much on my nose anymore. I used Proactive but I stopped so I have to start again. dear god... acne holy crap I hate the stuff
had it since I started highschool, hit a bad point sophemore year...
started on arms, then neck, face, then back even chest.
Basicaly I tried so many diff things and medications and cremes, nothing worked at all... proactive is complete crap imo, along with any of those other system treatments they have out there waste of money... the best thing im gonna say is showering as frequently as possible (within reason) it was the only thing I could do because nothing worked for me ever really.
Then I also heard about it believe it or not toothpaste working (non whitening, just regular toothpaste) I used that for a few day on my face, and it was the best improvement I ever saw. The thing is over time it causes mass ammounts of peeling, as for scars, I don't seem to have any from that experiment yet. Anyway...
I finally found one thing that does work though, anything with benzyl peroxide in it works good. Most of the system treatment products have all extra crap in there supposed to prevent scaring or w/e blemishes (you know the things girls mainly worry about) what ive learned is that most acne treatments are directed towards girls (wanting to have clear and purfect skin and stuff) so everything in those system treatments are weak basicaly. Only works for the occasional pimple, not full blown acne or back acne. The main thing that is actualy directed as gettin rid of the pimples in those stupid products are the cremes u get in small tubes that have like 0.5% benzyl peroxide if that... its mainly cuz benzyl peroxide does cause skin peeling.
anyway w/e... heres my personal system lol... go out to CVS find oxy body wash, it should be the one that has 10% (highest ive found so far) benzyl peroxide active ingredient in it (not the sascilyc acid crap or w/e that stuff is weak). Shower 2 times a day and use this at the end of every shower on ur acne infected areas (u shudnt wash it off with soap afterwards, u want the benzylperoxide to absorb into ur skin to clean it). Thats the first part, this worked mainly for my back and chest (face too I guess)
Then you also want to find (also at cvs) clearsil (sp?) vanishing creme is what its called I believe, it shud also have 10% (also highest I can find so far) benzyl peroxide in it. This you should use after every shower after you dry off, rub it in on the effected areas, you can also use it throughout the day if ur really trying to get rid of somthing specific like on ur face...
Be careful with this stuff though if you use the clearsil stuff too much it will cause ur skin to peel from dryness.
So yeah, if ur at the end of ur rope and none of the other crap works, this is the strongest ive been able to find so far... 10% benzyl peroxide.. it works, just be carefull about sunburn lol, I went to beach and forgot to put on sunscreen the stuff weakens ur skin to the sun lol.
Basicaly u need to experiment with it tho to see how much you should be applying. You might even consider to apply even if u are peeling, because it will make the acne go away once its gone, then stop applying for a few days and the peeling shud also stop.
So yeah this is what worked for me, im not responsible for what u might do to ur skin lol... use this at ur own risk.. :D
EDIT: oh yeah one thing when I first went to a doctor about it I was told alot of mine were infected and shit, I was given a pill to take for it but kind of forgot to take it after a while, I found it u try to avoid touching it as much as possible u'll avoid infection, also popping em never helps and tends to spread it too.
Also, invest in Proactive full body wash
lolz
btw if u do try this, be consistant, dont forget to apply the stuff, also I wudnt reccomend trying the toothpaste thing, altho that is how I got my face clear first lol (it didnt work any where else for me) but it made me peel like crazy

Proactive works for me, and always has. In the end I think it comes down to your own individual body, if I use proactive I notice an improvement the next day. Mostly that its not irritated anymore so its much less visible, but still its an improvement.
lolzThat was a joke towards him, I don't use that crap (Axe Snake for win) but if I had a lot of acne on my back, chest, or any other place (D: ) I'd def be using some sort of medicated wash all over.

I have minor acne. It wasn't horrible, but it did leave scars, kind like Edward J. Olmos's scars. I have one or two pimples on my face at a time. My upper back and neck are pretty beat up though. I've tried just about everything out there, and the only thing that seems to do any good is good ol' soap.

i hate the ones that are in the crease of your nose, where the hood of it curves inwards and meets your cheek.
also, the toothpaste thing works. my ex used to cover her acne in toothpaste, scared the crap outta me one day because i had no idea what the stuff on her face was and she tried kissing me, forgetting that she had toothpaste covering 30% of her face. She worries a lot and overstresses, so she constantly has pimples on her face, but shes always constant with her toothpaste shenanigans, so it fluxuates. It works fast, too. One day her face would have been covered in sores and blackheads, the next day they would be almost all gone.

Since Peroxide doesn't have any real effect on your skin you can feel..so that's why you tend to give up on that easily...could also be that my medication was broken lol
