As the title says, I'm looking for a new Camcorder (digital)
The one I have right now is great in all areas except zoom (4x digital ftl) and sound. The quality isn't great either, but it could be worse (it only uses SD cards).
I want to have a suppa duppa camcorder for when I take my tour of Bungie. I'm budgeting about 300 to 400 for it, and it needs to have :awesome: film quality when not zoomed, and :awesome: zoom is a plus, but not needed. Also, the mic needs to not be ultra gay sensitive please.
Anyone have any experienced suggestions?

1.3$ = 1Euro
That's suppose to be good...but for the consumer it's really bad...if the IKEA furniture costs the same in Euros and Dollars for instance...:)

I remember seeing this on G4tv.
A HD camcorder for $300. You do need a sd card. So that will put you back to about $400 for a good sized 8gb(4 hours of video).

I have a 2gb SD card already, but thanks, I'll look into it
EDIT: After looking at a few places (especially this (http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/29/aiptek-intros-sub-300-go-hd-camcorder/)) I'm going to have to shut down that suggestion. Thanks anyway

This one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830114007) looks ok, although you'll have to find it from somewhere other then newegg. The main advantage to that one is that you can just throw a new DVD in there instead of having to transfer your footage off. So you could just bring like a 10 or 20 pack of DVD's with you and just use em up. It also has an SD card slot but I think that they only use those for pictures and don't let you record video to it, at least thats my experience =/.
