I've been thinking. When I'm aggravated, pissed or downright have nothing to do, I'll normally find a place to relax and cool down. Everyone has their place they like to go and be left alone, so whats yours?

Mine would be Water. Anytime I'm surrounded by water I'm extremely comfortable, weither I'm floating in it or just listening to it.

What's your place to relax or let off steam?

My element? Earth.

My mom is basically a horticulturist, so I'm a big fan of trees and flowers. There's nothing better than sitting in the shade of a pin-oak to calm your nerves. :)

I'm element? I never knew...

A nice round of Halo 2 singleplayer usually helps me on a bad day, but sometimes I just go and read a book.

Also fire is cool. If we have our fireplace going that helps me too. (but only in winter :()

Fire. Amazingly, nothing relaxes me more than physical stress. That's probably why I love airsoft and paintball. The thrill of battle is invigorating. Exercise is also good :).

I'm weird like that.

Yes I see. Keep in mind you're element doesn't neccecarily have to be a Nature element like mine or Aerowyn's.

I'm relatively calmer whenever I can see the stars or the moon at night. Whenever it's cool out, too, I'm content.

Shower. I do so much thinking in there. Takes me at least 20 minutes and can last up to 40 to finish up (no no pervs, not fapping :gonk:). Also, shooting hoops or just messing around with a basketball. Despite my favorite sport being football, there has always been something with me and basketball.

I also have another element.

Wind. Anytime during a windy day I'll either sit or lay in the grass and let the wind wave my hair or any loose clothing, I think a windy environment is more soothing than water, a light to medium wind mind you.

Snow. I am simply a Kodiak Bear trapped in a guy's body. I love everything about the snow. The thick and looming clouds, the deafening blanket it forms, the permeating and invigorating chill from the wind, the satisfying crunch under one's feet. I love the snow so much that I don't even wear long sleeves or long pants. EVER.

I myself have had a large attraction for the Snow and Ice. Any environment with snow and ice is full of serenity and peace. When it snows in south carolina, its as if everyone just stops and enjoys the tranquility.

Hmm, my element? I go to my room, masturbate furiously, play some Sega Genesis, and listen to Alice Cooper. That relaxes me a lot.

Oh, like the 4 basic elements? Hmm, it'd have to be cold. I swear, in the winter, I'll start a hot shower, go outside in my shorts and stand there for a while, and then go back inside to that nice hot shower. There's nothing better than that feeling. Not even sex.

Shower. I do so much thinking in there.
Suuuuure you do.

Shade. Seriously, after stressful day or event, I like to go chill in my room, which is always darker than any other room in my house.

I'm not talking about emo retreats and crying in the dark, it's just that bright light bugs the shit out of me, and if I need to sit and relax, I like it to be a bit shady so my eyes can relax a bit. In nighttime-like darkness, I can kinda fall into it and really relax. Of course, then I'd need some white noise, like a fan, or else I'll start getting :tinfoil:.

Also, there's something about my particular desk chair I just can't put my finger on; it's the only chair I can sit in for extended periods of time, whether it be on the computer, playing a game, or just sitting there, twiddling my thumbs and staring off into space. I mean, there's an armchair in my living room which is very comfortable, complete with footstool, but I just can't seem to sit in it for long before I HAVE to get up and move.

No but really, i dont go for the whole element shiznet because im not a pokemon--but if theres one thing that calms me, its sitting on my big lazy boy chair/laying on my bed, while listening to semi-quiet classic rock, with the lights turned off, and my lava lamp on. I like the haze that it creates. Close my eyes, get lost in the music. ASSUM.

Definitely fire for me. I love the stuff. I always find myself laying down infront of our fireplace staring at it for ages.

Plus I always loved lighting shit on fire and exploding spray cans and stuff.

But my safe place? In my room with my girlfriend with the lights off after a shower. Again, nice and steamy ;D

No, seriously;

My Element, as in when I'm really happy is sat at a computer, Modeling or Video Editing.

But when I've had a bad day, i shut the internet off, close all the curtains, and sit in the dark, with sad 'emo' music blasting out. Which has been a common thing the last few days. LOL.

Usually when I get pissed or w/e I grab a snack, go down in my basement, switch on my modded Xbox and watch some pirated downloaded movie or TV show in the dark... Usually I fall asleep near the end and just sleep for an hour or so, then I'm all better.

or

If it's a good day I hop on my bike and go DH'ing in the forested area near my house.

or

Anywhere I'm in water, I love water, actually considered being a life guard somewhere for awhile, I even have everything I need to be a lifeguard in terms of courses and such, but I live in the prairies and lifeguarding at pools is a bitch.

i have a few different Elements.

i have my music, whether i'm creating a new song on the guitar, listening to music or just singing along allways works.

however i'm a massive fan of fire. some of the best conversations i've had and the calmest i've been have taken place around fires.

water, i'm aquarius by starsign (dont believe in that mumbo jumbo) but i do have an obsession with water. i can swim in the beach from dawn till dusk, we have a swimming pool, i used to have a water bed, we have 2 ponds and i have a 500 litre fish tank in my room :)
so much water :P

but my biggest element is alcohol. as strange as it sounds it's an escape to me. i constantly think about everything, pointless shit, irrelevant shit, shit that doesnt concern me.
at any given time in my head i can be:
planning a party
listening to a song
thinking up guitar riffs
thinking about convo's i had years ago, about the different ways i could of approached those convo's and the consequences of the new approaches to the convo's
thinking about a convo i'm about to have
thinking about how im wording my current convo
thinking of song lyrics
thinking of forum convo's i had earlier
thinking about what i'm currently doing
thinking about halo and other games/ strategys and clan mates ect.
and the list goes on and on.

i remebmer one day i actually stopped and counted the number of different things going on in my head at the same time and it was over 20 completely different topics/ thoughts going on in my head at the same time.
when i'm on the booze it's quietens those thoughts and just allows me to react to things without thought to consequences.

even then i can tell that that is badly worded, phrased and will be difficult to read, but that is because i'm having trouble concentrating cause i'm currently thinking about

disturbed, stricken, (currently playing in my head) the guitar solo to be exact
disturbed, son of a plunder (currently playing in my head) the heavy bridge near end of song.
my fish tank needs a clean
thinking about the convo's i've had with my co-worker over the last 4 days,
the amount of time i've been in transet (sp) this week (over 18 hours in 4 days atm)
the convo i'm about to have with dano
how i need to sleep
how i need to catch up on current events on the forums
and my current surroundings (picturing myself in an out of body experience watching me type)
wondering how jahrain is doing over in america
how i've been working this week and how i could reassess what i've done, how many cupboards i've built ect.

it's really tiring.

Dr Nick
