I was looking into renting a game server for h2vista. I wanted to know what the best options for doing this are.

I dont think any companies sell H2v vista servers. Mainly because you cant actually use rcon on the server, therefore you cant ban or kick people, unless you have access to the computer that the server is hosted, which makes selling servers extremely impractical.

They don't do it. They had problems with halo 2 so they gave up

{XF} Clan has a rented Win2K3 server. We currently run 3 H2Vista games and 2 Halopc games. All are customizable by using remote desktop.

Rcon is not available from the 'client side'. That is a problem, but doesn't not affect whether you should rent a server or not.

Personally, I play the game on my home PC, and kick/ban/change playlists from my laptop which sits right besides me. It's the only way to manage a game until the Rcon comes out.
