I think either the love story mentioned is just a joke, like saying something random, "A love story between two elites and their baby grunt." Just to give us an idea, or it could be done purposely to start a craze through the internet's (which, it has, their mission is a success.) Or somewhere in Halo 3 Cortana has to make a sacrifice to save the Chief and or Humanity, galaxy, etc, and by doing so dies, and yet it isn't a true relationship as we would see it (sexual, or even physical) its still a loving bond of friendship between them, and the love story they are talking about is just a platonic friendship between them that makes her death or demise (or possibly the chiefs) so much harder. Or none of this makes sense.... :-3

You dont have to be in love for a literary love story. If you didn't pick up that the chief/cortana thing in Halo 3 is going to turn into a techno damsel in distress of the modern age, you should try passing 11th grade english.
