Freerunning and Parkour are essentially the same craft with the same doctrines, just Parkour was the original rendition. (unless you count the African hunters who inspired it)
Seriously. WHAT THE FUCK. They should teach some of this shit to the Ninjas.
The sad part is, you'll NEVER see athletes or techniques like that in the Olympic acrobatic routines... even though these guys could run, flip, leap, somersault, vault, tumble, and catdash circles around Olympians.

You relise, parkour is french for free running? And dole, yeah your right, these dudes are more skilled than Olympic athletes, the street isnt made to be jumped on and backflip off but the pads and the apparatus in Olympics is :D
Oh and T33KUP, that was Jay-z, it was actually both Linkin Park and Jay-z who did it, they re-recorded the tracks to suit Jay-z's rapping, and I agree it was horrific, however one of the songs on the cd is pretty decent. Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer

You've heard it through right? Chester even does the 20 second scream live :P
One goal in life is to be able to do a backflip, I dont care about all the other things they do, although it would be kickass to know, theres just some thing badass about backflips

@ Limited:
Freerunning and Parkour aren't the same. Parkour focuses on traveling from point A to point B in the least amount of time possible, using whatever techniques to bypass any obstacles in the way.
Freerunning loosely follows this, only you do a lot more unnecessary crap. Also, its more like showing off what you can do rather than following traditional parkour rules.
EDIT: There is also another branch, called Yamasaki.

Who really cares, both require extreme skill and are awesome. I really want to get into freerunning in the future. I've always liked gymnastics, and this puts it to a more practical and cooler use.

i can do them. i used to swimg alot down the river and we had swings and trees we used to hump out of. once u learn a front flip, or a backflip from then on it just gets easier. when i stopped i had done a backflip 1080, frontflip dive and a front flip 720.
take in mind it took a while but i just pushed myself to do everything i could do. we where jumping outta trees 15m's off the water, shaping the river banks so we could lower the swing and get more whip lash, building steps to raise the swing, swinging in an arc to get more whiplash. funnest times of my life. to pull off my frontflip dive i had to jump for the swing off a mound turn around and head out backwards then whip myself so i could get the spin to pull it off.
it's a shame u live in england where its so fuckign cold tho. might be a bit cold in the rivers.
ya get better as time progress's and u dont realise it. ya just get that little more spin, little more height and a little more cofidence. i was at school one day and i ran up 2 different walls to touch a roof about 8m's off the ground.

The video seemed to get boring into the end. I especially liked the part where the guy jumps from one roof to another.

trees we used to hump out of.
I'm not sure if that's physically possible.

They should make that an Olympic event. It will make it much more interesting.

Yah, but the sport is to "cool" for them. They have to have the boring sports...
