Welcome to E3 2007...

Still good news, though.

Edit: I didn't know it was to be released on November 6, 2007. Am I the only one, or is that new?

I still find it sad that a game with so much more graphicle potential has lower requirements than H2v.

Way to fuck up hired gun.

Woah... welcome to July 07...

Can anybody say if those are reasonable requirements for Unreal 3? I have a bad feeling my PC will run this like crap anyway...

If you look at one of the other GoW threads in here, you'll see that one of the official sites states the release date was earlier this week XD.

New game editor. The game will also feature the all-new game editor, guaranteeing new user-generated content in the future. The Gears of War community will be able to tap their endless creative potential to develop an unlimited number of user-created levels through complete access to the Unreal Editor. Players can now import custom artwork into the engine, create particle systems, scripted encounters, cinematics, and more.

UnrealEngine 3 is multithreaded.

Optimized for dualcore... editor optimized for quadcore.

no s**t Unreal was made for PC so it will support more pc stuff.

And the EDITOR and Game isant just for duelcore and quadcore :P it just supports that without pooping on you(unlike sapian*beats sapian with a stick*) so if you need an upgrade and have single core prepare for longer wait times but it will run

However -- going from dual to quad will only be an incremental upgrade in the game... but a fairly decent sized upgrade in the editor. After that it's pretty incremental.

The official requirements for H2V are a LOT lower then Gears. But the real requirements tell a quite different story. But seriously, EPIC games is actually working on their port, not hiring some dingy lil studio to do it. (btw, epic's staff is probably at least ten times the amount of hired gun).

I might actually buy this.

(btw, epic's staff is probably at least ten times the amount of hired gun).Their typical studio's only about 70 people large.

They also have a couple other unaccounted for assets... like buying "People Can Fly" and their Epic-China outsource team.

That being said... its like Fort f'ckin Knox to get in. They're always hiring and you don't need any industry experience... but if you don't have the raw talent they want... you're going to be working for someone else.
