This guy claims to have a patch to get H2V to work on XP with multiplayer, however there is no link in the video description as he says, and he doesn't show it being played online at all, due to the fact that he torrented his version and has no key (damn nub).

I have a slight feeling he may be bullshitting, but seeing as the Alky project is three weeks late with no updates, I'm willing to try anything, LOL.

P.S.

Video seems like total bs to me, he doesn't even show it that it works. I could always be wrong though.

And this guy in the video is a fricking pirate :hist101:.

I would say, wait for alky.

I just hope to God that Alky is released before Halo 3 so my life isn't consumed.

Also if you notice, he actually (apparently) clicks on the actual Halo2.exe as opposed to a version of WoWLoader.

Props to "this guy". He's not under the belt of our worlds control!

All I've got to say, is wait until we actually have something. If it's out there right now, it will eventually find it's way to us.

To be fair, I click on the Halo 2 icon too... I just made a shortcut to the batch and changed the icon. Are you sure that isn't what he did?

Not really, and there's really no way to tell because the quality of the video is total ASS.

He never actually shows himself playing MP, so yeah looks like BS.

Well whatever man

I'm just a bit pissed with the way Alky's being total ass, not giving us an update after telling us they'd release their stuff three weeks ago, not even responding to anything in their forums and shit

I mean they're doing some amazing work don't get me wrong, but they're being a bit irresponsible

I agree. Alky probably doesn't want to explain the trouble's they've been having, but after this long they owe us an explanation.

I just hope they don't become a dead project. So may projects that seemed too good to be true were actually just that.

Project Zelda Online. There was a leaked alpha (http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=1141) and even a few videos of gameplay (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8irV45sUr6g) and never got around to releasing the mod itself. I don't even know why not. There's probably an explanation though, I should ask JahRain about it ;p

HaloUT (http://torlan.dragonstarelite.com/) for UT2004. They released the AR, pistol and Plasma Rifle, a shit load of player models and vehicles (Here's a promo video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXMj_rXkbbo)), but their ZIP files were extremely unorganized, and they gave up work on it because of "engine limitations," I personally just thing they just didn't want to be bothered, they could have pulled it off, considering some of the awesome mods out there today, like Runestorm's Ballistic Weapons (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeejczFIujQ).

And now, Alky: They've released pictures of Prey on mac (http://www.fallingleafsystems.com/site_media/screenshots/), got everyone's hopes up, and at this point, I'd really hate to see the Alky Project thrown into the pile.

I thought that was because of the pre-pre-pre alpha leak?

But yeah, IAWTP

Well yes, come to think of it, the Alpha was a leak. But, even though the Hyrule Field from PZO was a leak, the gameplay video wasn't, I don't believe.

I should edit that...
