my firewall is off and i allowed the ports and i just activated it still won;t work

Try running it again but this time right click and click on run as administrator. That usually fixes things that get blocked normally.

Doesn't look like it can connect. It could be that your router is blocking it or something, but I'm no expert. Try physically bypassing your router if running as administrator doesn't work.

do you have cable? yes? then you should have a modem right? then you MIGHT have a box called a router than splits up your internet to all the computers in your house. Try going straight from the modem to the computer.

We don't but local ip's are local, for most ppl it's like 192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x just according to the rules so it doesn't matter that we see or don't see your local ip as long as we don't (well it shouldn't matter anyway) see your external (wan) ip.
But just for your information, every moderator can see your external ip, as long as your behind a (good configured) firewall there's nothing to worry about.

And if you can't use your headset, check the drivers, or go to the website of the manufacturer (i.e. if it's a Sony headset then google up sony headset problems).
