Has anyone else read this? It's a collection of diaries kept by people (from all walks of life) in Europe and the Middle East during WWII... it's very interesting to read.

There was a diary entry by a British soldier in North Africa which details some pretty amazing stuff. On the same day he witnessed an entire British gun battery's crew executed by the Germans, he also saw something which I find quite amazing...

He was in a hospital plane, when an Italian Macchi fighter began to fire on it... suddenly, a Messerschmitt Bf109 appears out of nowhere and riddled the Italian's plane (and his body, when he attempted to parachute out) with bullets, pulled up alongside the hospital plane, saluted, and flew off. It's the little things like this which make it a truly amazing read.

It's similar, no journals, but it's old war vets remembering stuff on video.

Holy fuck, the thunder here is really loud.
I can't get to sleep :(
