get an iPod but they're wayy too trendy :saddowns: so I chose something different...

Yea, i got one, and theres an easy way around sharing music... just look up the Zune HDD hack (where it uses your Zune as a removable device) and you can just remove the "shared" one and resync it.

I have one, the brown one, and it's a replacement for my cracked-screen Sansa e250. I was hoping to get the Sansa Connect, but eh first the Zune THEN I'll consider =D

It's the biggest piece of shit I've ever owned. Seriously, if it wasn't pink I'd give it to Jason in a heartbeat. He can take the fucking thing for all I care.

The program to sync your library is overcomplicated, and not as fast and easy as iTunes. I stared at the screen for about an hour before I came close to figuring out what to do, and I STILL don't quite grasp the software. It's like WMP11 minus all the good features. It's just too hard. iTunes is easy to change song information. You just right click and BAM. With Zune software I don't even know what the fuck to do to change song info. To sync songs, you CLICK AND DRAG FROM A "MY COMPUTER" WINDOW instead of going to "file>import music." And Zune software DOESN'T HAVE THE STANDARD "file, edit, controls" options.

It's good if you like videos, or if your ipod battery is dead and you don't feel like charging it (like me most of the time), but the zune is just plain BAD.

About the Zune software, I sort of got used to the drag+drop fun, hell I've been doing that a lot instead of copy+pasting files. Even synching music and videos (and pictures) goes by a little quick. And then there's everything else, I do have to agree, it does suck... When it's converting videos, HOLY CRAP IT IS SLOW. I had to use an external converter (that I bought awhile ago) to do that job, even that's faster =D

Great website for fixing your Zune and there's even a feature on this this website that allows you to add more file types that can be added to your Zune, sadly it won't play in the Zune Media Player, just on your Zune.

That's what the Zune basically is.

You buy music that you can only listen to on your Zune, and shared music only lasts for so long, and you can't take the music you bought for your Zune off it without a third-party program. It's almost as godawful as iTunes.

Have to say, it's pretty awesome. Don't care about movies so I didn't need a large screen or a lot of space. My whole music collection doesn't fit on it, but I don't listen to all of it all the time so it's all good :d
