we got a hornet and a hog, but haven't bothered with 2 hogs yet, we get all the way across the dog fight scene, then we go to land and drop the hog by the wraiths at the third tower and the little prick DISAPPEARS! but it's fun up to that point.

How you do dat?

Go to custom games, make sure it's local (not live), then go into any map and hold the following keys down:
RB and LB
both stick clicks
A
up on the d-padIt's kinda tricky, but if you do it right the camera debug info will appear on the screen as a bunch of white numbers with [normal] on the end. Now do hold down the same buttons except press left on the d-pad. This will change it to the pan-cam. End the game, and switch to the map you want to explore. You must be in forge mode, local. Once in the map, quickly find a way to kill yourself as the monitor. You must be the monitor when you die, or this wont work.
End the game after you've died, then go to the theater and watch the film. Since you're in debug mode, the theater controls are a little different. You won't be able to fast forward, so wait until the part where you die. Once you're dead in the film, hit a to pause, then y to detach the camera.
From here one, you can move the camera around using the sticks and the triggers. Up on the d-pad increases the speed, and down lowers the speed. The tricky part is getting past the barriers. Set the speed up to some ridiculously high numbers, then when you're looking straight on (not up or down at your feet), tap the right trigger. You will either go through the barrier or stop at it. If you've stopped at it, increase your speed. If you've gone through the barrier, you're very high up. You're past the max view distance for the level. Any attempt you make to look around will result in blurring of the screen. Make sure you're still level and aiming straight ahead (check the camera value), then decrease your speed so that you can descend to the level without zipping past it. You'll get a lot of the blurring stuff happing on areas that are past the viewing distance (10 000 world units), but in screenshots this will show up as blue.

My sister and I in a 2v4 SWAT match (other two teammates got dropped early on). It was awesome, even though we lost. The guys we were playing were really into it and got freaked out whenever they ran into us. It was hilarious.

it's something will the collision. halo 1's biped deforms when landed on a ledge or something; mine ended up in the wall and they can't tell where's the ground and messes up or something...it's the same reason for those deform spartans ppl take pictures of

Everyone thinks the Recon permutation is a BFD because it's exclusive. While it DOES mean something in a sense (Bungie liked something you did), people are taking it too far and thinks that it means everything. It's the same kids who piss, moan, and ejaculate over the full Hayabusa set, Security Helmet, and the Katana.

I think recon is great in the way that you will stand out amoungs others, because you have done something that bungie liked. But it doesn't mean that if I am on your team and you suddenly deiced that your god and everyone must obay, piss off. Even people without recon do that and it drives me nuts.

While I don't have a 360, I am sure everyone have met someone like that. Thats why I will be playing as Elite, because their nothing to speical about them, besides their melon heads but eh. Did that in H2 online, and no one gave a second look.

Why not just use a different armor perm.? Recon is great and all, but maybe when you go into matchmaking just put something different on. Or just say bungie took away the recon and the fanboys should go away.

Some of the few people that got Recon by asking for it (not saying that you did ask for it, but since it does ask on the shirt...). The only other person that asked for it and got it was Digital Ph33r (Arby N' The Chief, Deus Ex Machinima, etc... creator), and he only got it because he did a lot to deserve it.

When you take a screenshot in Halo 3's theater mode and save it, it automatically uploads to bnet. Then it's a matter of viewing your service record and grabbing said picture from your gallery.

The large, round helmet with the bug-eyes shaped visor is the Security helmet you get for 1000/1000GS.

The one with the very thin visor is recon.

You need to get 70 experience, with a minimum level of 10, I belive. It's not hard to get at all, and doesn't take that long. However, Rogue is the most common helmet used, and chances are there will be at least 2-3 other people in your game using it.

Don't let that stop you from using it if you like it though.

Well, play some double exp weekend/Big Team Ranked (which is also double exp for the month of June), and you'll get there twice as quickly.

I guess you're right, but it's rare to see many people with, say, Security or EVA helmets, and it's rare to have more than one of those per game.

So I was playing some Halo 3 Legendary recently when something so awesome happened I had to take a screenshot of it. The level is 'The Covenant', I'm going to de-activate the first beam tower. I smashed my way into the tower with the Warthog, plowing straight through the Shade and Grunts, but unfortunately leaving 2 high ranking Brutes alive. So I'm trapped in a small corner with my allies nowhere in sight, and 2 pissed off Brutes ready to skin me only 4 feet away. The Warthog isn't an option, as it's flipped and one of the Brutes has a Brute Shot that would surely blast me to pieces before I got anywhere. My weapons aren't really an option as I have 1 frag, a Spiker and a Shotgun with 2 shells. My only hope lies in the Cloaking powerup laying on the ground near me. So, with that in mind I flip on the Cloaking and sneak around behind the Brutes, thinking I can assasinate them both before they realize what happened.

Oops, big mistake. For whatever reason my melee attack failed and both Brutes spin around, roaring and ready to slaughter me and rape my corpse. Knowing there's no escape from that Brute Shot, I accept my fate and wait for the inevitable, except it never comes. Out of nowhere both Brutes suddenly fall dead with attractive holes through their chests.

In a rare moment of good timing, the Marines in the Mongoose I had left behind pulled up to the door and the guy in back saved my ass by getting a 2 for 1 with his laser.

Well, everyone by now should know that on the level The Ark, it is quite easy (if not easier than going on foot) to take the Brute Chopper through the final sections of the level, which provides you infinite ammunition, greater protection from enemy attacks, and allows what I consider a Heroic Takedown - splattering the Hammer Chieftain at the end of the level.

That, however, can be topped by the Legendary Takedown - performing the same act with a Mongoose, as seen here.

I got my Migration kit so now I can produce awesome mods ∞x faster then the usual 0.000000001. So now I can take hundreds of screenshots without worrying about bungies limit. And get them off of my HDD in less then 20 seconds. 360 Degree panos here I come. Expect the halo 3 section to be more active.

After finding out that I can shoot down plasma grenades with a human turret on complete accident (with funny results (http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=77449151)), I was testing out what else I can do with live grenades. Then I thought of Muki's shock combo picture where he shoots a plasma out of the sky with a beam rifle and decided to parodize it.
