Hey I was messing around in Halo 2 Vista with the skulls (Off-topic; combine the Grunt Birthday Party skull and the Sputnik skull for some really cool headshots ;P)
And I was thinking, why hasn't anyone made a trainer or something that activates all the skulls? You know, like the skulls would be the options, and just by pressing a certain hotkey or button you would get the said skulls effect.
What do you think? I would make one but I suck at trainermaking plus I don't really have the time.

I tried, was unsuccessful the first few times. I don't feel like trying again, I've got other stuff to do. The only challenge is finding the memory addresses.

Yeah, I guess that one would need to get the skulls the old fashion way and see what has changed in the memory values.
Plus with the Halo 2 Anti-Cheat and the DEP it's not going to be an easy job...

I would only be interested in something like this if it could work in multiplayer. Having a server with sputnik and grunt party enabled would be awesome.

Not really, that could be used to cheat with, not to mention all the h2 kids filing hacking complaints against you and getting your LIVE account banned.

who ever said anything about making it public?
Just think, h2v.net would have the most awesome server in the game :o

It'll be awesome if we can get people to make that server app for us and integrate the stats into the site.

I don't think that the skull values are in the multiplayer levels... Just the singleplayer levels.
You'd probably have to mod them in :/
And we all know about modding + Halo 2 Vista...
But it would greatly improve the lifespan of the singleplayer campaign :)

Old topic (http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=46369) (doesn't show what all we have in the one in current development, hence old)

Yelo: Halo2 (PC)

This time around, all Kornner Software members will be working towards the success of this version of Yelo. There may even be new members added...

Under construction*

oooohh... Well good luck, it sound awesome. Did the Xbox version have a "skull hack" in it?

heh, I should have updated that portion. xbox7887 is back in school again and wants to do some stuff for the xbox version still. Bitterbanana has some real-life things hes taking care of, but is on sometimes. And I...have too much other shit on plate currently to be working on it >_<

Ahh, well good luck with your future endeavours :downs:
Your "other shit" wouldn't happen to be the H2V modding tools eh? :)

Meh, what really need is SCRIPTING. Kornman found it for Halo CE (maybe, can't remember), maybe he could find it again. Then we could use the scripts to do the effects that the skulls do.

except it would have no use in any maps since you would have to modify the game's code for them to work in MP game states.

Wow, I totally forgot about the skulls in Halo 2.

Remember H2X?

(physics_set_gravity 0.5)

In H2X, you would add a script chunk from a map, and then place that in there. Thats the script command for Sputnik. Sputnik makes gravity 0.5, so it can be used in multiplayer. Like I said before, you needed to add a script chunk, but now its different.

I could kill you for using halomods terminology -_-. Of course its different, you don't have to use someone's hack job to add scripts.

Yes, I remember people making those scripting tools for xbox. Not to brag, but I was the first to do it (used terminal). I was lazy though and just edited an unused script on it.

The skulls behave in memory just like the, for instance, the double speed modifier in HaloCE. They just change a hardcoded value (at least some skulls do)...or?

I have a hard time believing someones head exploding when you shoot it is a hard coded value...

Sputnik doesn't make half gravity... it makes all forces stronger. You will not jump higher, but if you punch a box or set off an explosion, it will have more force than usual.

We already know how to do scripting in Halo2, or at least in the xbox version. Do the vista multiplayer maps still have the same unused scripts in them as most of Halo2xbox's maps did? Then scripting should be easy as we wouldn't need to attempt to add in new chunks.
But you can't (directly) use the skull effects in multiplayer - all the skulls are activated by the command ice_cream_flavor_stock followed by a number representing the skull. The command switches the skull effect on for the rest of the game (until you exit Halo2 completely - the skull stays active even if you sign into a different profile). But the skull only effects campaign - if you play in multiplayer it ignores any skull effects - there's no way to get skull effects into multiplayer short of making a trainer that changes the game so it does, or hacking the map file to simulate the skull effects, like by removing the hud or manually increasing the force value on everything.

So it would be possible to make a sort of Hack that would search for the command and activate it right?
