No, not your house, you weirdo. I mean pics of your hometown. I wanna see some pics of Australia and Canada and Europeland, and ok maybe some of the states I haven't seen yet.

Here are some pics of the university I attend:

Rob you lucky bastard with your snow. Here in Central Virginia (will post pics later) the weather's ALL FUCKED UP. It was 90F last week, and now its 40F at night, and it might even go back up to 70 - 80F during the 'winter'. Damn Blue Ridge Mountains )will post pics later) stealing my snow.

Wow, that's some intense landscape there Rob. Straight out of a movie or something. I wonder what made the rock like that...

=D ty, I don't think I could've picked a better place to live. This is why I can't move to Australia, no matter how fucked up the US is right now.

This location is Boulder, Colorado- those rocks are called the Flatirons. No matter how bad a day I'm having, I can always look out at the flatirons, and it always helps me out. The lighting and clouds and snow and fog are always subtly different, but it always works just beautifully. It's like a postcard!

...Dear Sarge, kicking ass in outer space, wish you were here!

Now see, people say we're destroying the surface of the earth by building cities on otherwise natural landscapes, but damn dude that city is beautiful from that angle.

And the planet from space isn't too shabby, either.

looks fake. too uniform and well kept. I prefer gardens that just, you know, grow. You know, where you plant a ton of seeds and all the plants fight one year, and then the next year you have this really natural looking garden.

I like big trees. Those good climbing trees, Dano? It's been a long time since I last climbed a tree. I should do that sometime...

There are nice big trees on campus, but everywhere else in downtown Boulder they've put buildings and roads into every available space. Unfortunate, but it's still a great place, and you don't have to go too far to get out of downtown.

So, the mountains were just spectacularly clear this afternoon, so I had to take a picture. I wasn't going for anything "artsy" or "clever" or "unique," I just took the best sharpest picture I could of the mountains.
I didn't want to reduce its megapixel glory, so here's a link instead of killing the loading time for this page:
http://www.spacebrick.net/pictures/blog_gallery/flatirons (2).JPG

edit: Damn, I fucked messed up, that picture isn't sharp at all! Oh well. It heightens the illusion- I swear, every day those mountains are so amazing it looks like a friggin painting.

I'ma try and get a sunset pic tomorrow evening.

Brooklyn is the borough of NYC which is where I live =D:
http://www.3dphoto.net/world/united_states/northeast/wtc/aerial_brooklyn_bridge.jpg

The Brooklyn Bridge may be charming, but the Verrazano is flat-out magnificent, especially from the vantage of Fort Thompson.

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/149/434220725_561f72b9a0.jpg

Monolithic, stark, vast... absolutely majestic when you're standing in the courtyard looking across the narrows; the world feels so expansive and unfathomed, and you respect the capacity of your own presence in comparison to the immensity of the bridge (and the Verrazano has been trumped in size by a few other bridges, iirc. Just imagine the silhouette those structres cast on you). I usually ride my bike up there during every Saturday down the FDR Boardwalk.

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/115/251465115_d1bc79f352.jpg

She's a spectacle to be beheld at night, as well. The lights against the illuminated gray metal are otherwordly (this shot is from Brooklyn, looking out at the hill in the first picture), and much more serene than the Brooklyn Bridge's lights against brick. Still a beautiful blend of architechture and aesthetics, but between the bricks and the dense concentration of suspension cables and crossbars over the road, the design is a little busy for my liking (at least at the end of the day, when I'm mellow and calmed). However, it does fit perfectly with the atmosphere of the city.
