Game:

Quick exit - Alt F4 (obvious but handy)

H2V Settings in the registry, alter at own risk. As you can see i've changed the gamma to 8 but the ingame max value is 6, but it works. Maybe you can even change the res to something really weird.

Server:

If you're server won't connect (can take very long sometimes) just open IE and go to a site, my server always connects right away after that.

If you always freeze joining a LIVE game, get kicked out, and end up back in the LIVE menu (usually the first time you join a server after opening H2V) sometimes it helps to do this:

After you open the game, go into Network and Create a game, sure it will freeze a bit (but it won't kick you out), just wait until youre in the pre-game lobby, then you can exit and join a LIVE game without experiencing the Freeze. Hell, it feels shorter when you do this.

Unfortunately, changing the res to something weird does not work (I tried 800x450).
