My friend just got a new laptop. he bought H2V a while ago and lent it to a friend. Now that friend is playing H3 and dosnt play H2V anymore and my friend wants to play H2V. He installs it and enters his key signs into live but the live button in grayed out. I told him to use Ghosts product key finder thing and when h runs it, it says no key found. Is there a way he can re enter his key? What should he do??????/ HELPPPPPPPPPP

He'll have to talk to MS about it.

The product key finder only works on Halo PC and CE, not Halo 2 for Windows Vista.
Did he activate the game? That's the only thing I can think of, assuming he is actually already signed into LIVE...

yes he did, but the key was activated on another pc once before he entered his key.

If it activated on the other PC and it doesn't prompt you to activate when you start the game, then it was completed successfully. It sounds like a LIVE issue you're having. Again, can you sign into LIVE? Did he go through the entire process of downloading his profile from LIVE and getting the updates for the game?

Well it prompts him for the key and he puts it in. He signed into live and he connects to live (i.e. friends and everything else). It is just that the live button in the menu in grayed out. We tried a reinstall but nothing (it asked for the key again too)??? The guy my lent the game to played on live with his gamertag, that might be the problem... Any suggestions or should he just call MS and be transfered to India.
