Well, within the last 3-6 months my female Shar-pei's skin has turned from a dark purple to a pale white, and she has developed "liver spots?" on her entire body. Just curious if this is natural because she is 8 years old, or if its serious and I should contact the Vet.
She was recently into the vet for an ear infection, so thats why I thought I should get some advice first. Oh, and I tried google, but I wasnt really sure what to search for. Anyways, thanks for the help.

Never heard of anything like this happening, got a friend who breeds king charles cavaliers and other spaniels...he's never heard of it either.
It doesn't sound normal...Take her to a vet just to be safe.

A shar pei looks like the dog was once really fat then lost all its weight and was left with excess skin...

I had her there a few weeks ago for a checkup to her ears because she had an infection, she recieved shots an a physical at the time and they never mentioned it so I didn't really think it was that bad.
But googling her "status" and not finding anything on it made me wonder.
Oh, and noob, she has dark black fur, and dark blue/purplish skin, except on her underside, its now pale and covered with light to dark brown liver spots. Oh, she also has a blue tongue... :D
Here is a picture of her stomach, pale white, and spotted... :(
