So, has anyone heard about this game yet? It's been announced for awhile now, but surprisingly not many people have, or atleast the ones I've talked to about it. Basically, it is a FPS survival horror co-operation game, being made by Turtle Rock Studios (Think Counter-Strike) and Valve.
EDIT: Since the merge, this would now be considered a Valve game.
There's a few gameplay videos and and a couple explaining the game.
There's alot of features that I think will play out really well, like the AI Director and the Merit/Demerit system.
RELEASE:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/500/ The game is now released.
So we're rolling with two months left to release, I thought I'd update the thread a bit. I got rid of most of the original post and added new content. Also, I purposefully left out a TON of stuff for the purpose of not extending the thread any longer. Most of the stuff that I didn't mention is found on the Information Thread link found at the bottom of this post.
Core Gameplay:
At first glance, this game might just seem like "Counter Strike with zombies", but it really isn't. This game is built from the ground up on the concept of co-operation, forcing you to stick together with your teammates to survive. To help reinforce this and add a little flavor to the gameplay, Valve has added numerous things to the game.
The AI Director:
The AI Director is the main backbone of this game. It's a bit hard to explain better than the guys at Valve, so I'll just quote.
Gabe Newell:
Gabe Newell: Everything is being done procedurally. If the Director decides it wants you to feel nervous about something that's coming up, it'll desaturate the screen and bring the lighting levels down.
Gabe Newell: That was fairly easy, and the director sees how we play. The director is constantly changing things up, it wants to give you a rollercoaster ride, and it never plays the same way twice. But it also uses that to make decisions. There are difficulty levels, but that's more about how often you get...
Gabe Newell: How well we're aiming, and whether or not we're shooting each other, all those things get factored in to what happens. Let's go in this safehouse, where we'll get a status report as to how we're doing.
Michael Booth:
MPC: So one of the things that Left4Dead does that is really kind of unique is the really dynamic difficulty system. Can you explain a little bit about that?
MB: Dynamic difficulty isn’t exactly the right term. It’s a dynamic drama pacing system so it doesn’t nerf the game to bring it down to someone’s level so much as it really makes sure that you have an exciting experience. It’ss very easy for us in this game to give you a very intense experience.
MPC: You just keep throwing zombies non stop and…
MB: Right. So what the “AI Director” is doing in that case is it’s watching for cases where the team is just getting pounded on and then it’ll ramp things down a bit, to make sure there’s a gap a pacing.
MPC: So you watch statistics like health, the number of zombies the survivors have killed, and how much ammo they have, and then make decisions?
MB: Exactly.
MPC: What are the exact variables that the Director monitors?
MB: Well I can’t give you a full set of them. But it’s things like you just mentioned. It’s things like whether you’ve been hit recently, how often have you been hit, how many zombies do you see, how many zombies are running at you, and how many zombies you’ve killed recently.
MPC: All the way down to your level of accuracy or not so much?
MB: Not so much accuracy. It checks to see when you killed that zombie if he was way out in the distance wandering and not so much a threat or if he was in your face and hitting you -- that’s a little more intense. So its metrics like that. The Director’s doing that to make sure that there’s high peaks and valleys because if they’re all valleys you quit because it’s boring and if it’s all peaks you get stressed out and you quit anyway. So we want you to have the same kind of excitement as a rollercoaster ride. And of course the Director makes sure everything is procedural so you can never predict when or where the zombies are coming from.
One thing not mentioned here is that the Director also places items/weapons procedurally, and it generates dynamic music that is different for each survivor depending on the current situation.
The Infected:
The infected are the basic enemies you will face in the game, and while they may not appear powerful at first, there is strength in numbers. It is assumed that there can be around 50 infected on screen at once. These infected are not your standard shambling zombies; they can run, climb, jump, and do other things a normal human would be able to do.
The Boss Infected:
There are 5 boss infected, and 4 that are playable. Boss Infected are infected, but they have special mutant abilities that differentiate them from the rest of the crowd. These abilities are effective at slowing Survivors down, and even killing them if an attack is well planned out. The bosses are: The Boomer, The Smoker, The Hunter, The Tank, and The Witch. The first four are playable, and The Witch is AI controlled.
The Boomer:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t280/left4dead411/l4d-boss-art-boomer.jpg
The Boomer, to put him bluntly, is a big guy full of methane gas. He can 'vomit' on the survivors, temporarily blinding them for about ten seconds. When this is done, every infected in the area is drawn to the victim, until the vomit effect vanishes. When he is shot, he explodes and sends his innards flying around him. The innards can also coat a survivor that is close enough, having the same vomit effect as his attack. The Boomer is one of the four playable boss infected.
The Smoker:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t280/left4dead411/l4d-boss-art-smoker.jpg
The Smoker is a tall infected with the ability to shoot his long tongue far distances. With this ability, he can easily grab survivors and pull them out of position and constrict them until one of them is dead. When killed, the Smoker dispurses a cloud of smoke that prevents voice communication(character) to fellow Survivors when in it. The Smoker is one of the four playable boss infected.
The Hunter:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t280/left4dead411/l4d-boss-art-hunter.jpg
The Hunter is a hooded infected with the ability to pounce and leap great distances. He can pounce onto Survivors and rip them to shreds with his claws, and he can also scale large buildings. When a Survivor is pounced, he can't do anything without the help of a teammate. The Hunter is one of the four playable boss infected.
The Tank:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t280/left4dead411/l4d-boss-art-tank.jpg
The Tank is a huge beast infected, who basically tears everything to shit. He can throw cars and debris at Survivors, and he can also pound the crap out of them (which also knocks them back a great deal). The Tank has the most HP out of the bosses for obvious reasons, but he's also easy to hear coming. The Tank is one of the four playable boss infected, but unlike the others he can't be chosen initially. The AI Director will randomly pick one of the people playing a boss infected if they wish to spawn as the Tank. Tank roles are switched everytime the Director decides to throw one in.
The Witch:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t280/left4dead411/wallpapers/witch-francis-2560.jpg
The Witch, while she may appear harmless, can prove a difficult obstacle. She is usually found on the ground weeping, and she will attack you if provoked. One swing from her and you're knocked back in the bleed-out stage. She has about a fourth of HP compared to The Tank. The Witch is NOT one of the playable boss infected, and she will always be AI driven.

The graphics look suck. Everything seems baked.
Gameplay might be ok for a while. Lack of art style, lack of interesting/new weapons won't make it last long.
Tbqh, it looks like a standard Half Life 2 mod.
It also has half life 2's really wierd pacing. Everything moves faster than it should in relation to the animation speed, and the distance travelled.

It doesn't look "interesting" to me. It looks like just another zombie game.

Dead Rising ftw.
Throw cash registers, ram with benches, make smoothies, take pictures of zombies for mad PP, katanas, baseball bats, lego heads, the whole shabang.

I think the gameplay wont be worth it. It's just a twitch shooter and will grow old very quickly. You wont see me buying it.

I'm still not too impressed. The level design is horrible in a lot of those areas. It's cooperative, but designed from the single player perspective.

Wait, how do you know about level design? Oh, videos.
Also, a really important aspect of a zombie/scary game is ambiance. There's too much HUD, really kills the immersion factor. "The Tank" screenshot reminds me of an MMO.

September 11th, 2008, 06:21 PM
One main point of the game is to combine aspects of single player and multiplayer, so that's probably why it seems to be in a singleplayer design.
"At Valve we have traditionally built two types of games," says Gabe Newell as he twists his desk chair towards the assembled throng in EA's behind closed doors booth at Leipzig Games Convention 2008. "Single-player games, which are good at character driven narrative, they let you go on an adventure that has a story and a plot and characters. And we've had multiplayer games which are really good at replayability and playing with your friends. Games like Counterstrike and Team Fortress 2.
"What we saw was an opportunity to try and combine these features, to take the social replayability of multiplayer games and the storytelling and sense of an adventure from our single-player games and combine them for Left 4 Dead."
Mind the run-on sentences.

This is a really cool idea, and something Ive always wanted to see get done right. It looks like it's a tad unfinished, but otherwise I think I might find myself playing this when it's out.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. There'll be a PC and 360 demo before the game's release. I'm guessing sometime in October, so you can get a taste of the game then before buying.

The thing about immersion is that when you're looking at the environment, in game, you dont see the HUD. Only when you want to look at something, like how much ammo you have left, is when you see the hud.
jngrow
September 11th, 2008, 06:40 PM
^Yeah, what I'm saying is the HUD looks very intrusive, not only the ammo counters etc., but the names everywhere. So it's hard not to look at it.

Seems like Zombie Panic Source with some single player thrown on. Doesn't seem too impressive right now but I could be wrong. Turtle Rock needs to go back to Counter Strike Source and update it.

System Requirements under the demo (which I would assume are system requirements for the demo) say 7.5 GB
If those are actually system reqs for the full game, way to fail valve

Trinx

In my experience, the game actually ran better for me than Team Fortress 2, and it definitely doesn't take up 7.5 gigs worth of HDD space.
EDIT:
And protip, play on Expert always. There are not enough maps of the campaign in the demo to warrant a challenge on any other difficulty.

If you don't have other source games, downloading Left 4 Dead will also download the Source engine, Source assets, etc., which takes up a lot of space.
I've played the Xbox demo a few times (due to it being out before the PC), and it is just pure :awesome:. So much fun to play with other people, mowing down tons of infected and scattering when a tank comes to steamroll everyone. It's pretty short, though. Can't wait until next week. D:
Trinx
November 11th, 2008, 02:00 PM
It's apparently 3200 MB (3 GB) if you haven't had a Source game before, so not even 7.5 GB still. And I agree, the game is fucking amazing (I've been playing the demo on PC since the 6th). Lived up to and exceeded my expectations by far. And yeah, I can't wait till next week to finally finish the No Mercy campaign and then start on Blood Harvest, Dead Air, and Death Toll.

Played a little with Selentic. Things went okish until we ran into a tank. I made a run for it (I urged my teammates to do so as well), forgetting it was on normal or whatever (I was used to Expert, so I was expecting the tank to effortlessly tear through us). I got to the saferoom and the bathroom, and I knew I had gained enough distance for the Tank to forget about me. Sel and one bot (the other bot was dead) was still alive, but both were downed. What I didn't know was that Sel had actually killed the tank, but he told me a little too late to get back. So yeah, they both bled out. I revived the other bot, and revived Sel and the second at the end of the trains.

From the demo, you can see some more city street areas.
Use noclip to pass through the other saferoom door at the end, then turn it off and you'll be able run through the area that comes next. The Director is disabled in this section, but you can explore and spawn zombies.

What game did you play exactly?
> Aggressive (Rushing)
> Horde (Rushing on steroids, Director does it when there isn't enough tension)
> Sluggish (Unaggressive, stumbling around as if in a daze)
> Brawling (zombie on zombie)
> Ratlike behaviour (running on all fours)
> Climbing (onto buses, cars, platforms, etc)
And I'm not even accounting for boss zombies. I'm curious, how many times did you bother playing the demo?

Zeph, you're a lot like my dad. If he see's something he's unsure on, he'll automatically think it's horrible and will be in this mindset that it's going to be horrible no matter what.
If you stop and pay attention, you'll see how the Infected sort of have their own personalities. You have to look at it from somebody elses point of view, and not just what you think. The way you're saying it, is that you didn't even get past half of the first level.

Also, closing and opening doors when people don't want you to is fun.

How about a big dont fucking speak for me. I'm not unsure of it, I'm solid on my opinion of it. I've known the infected behave differently. Not like that matters whenever they rush towards you to take your health down. I've played through the demo countless times just to see how the AI director would behave on item placement. Doesn't change the fact that if the zombies aren't rushing towards you, they're only waiting for you to come by so they can rush you. There's not any tactile behavior in this game, even in the special zombies. It's just blow them up before they get close; that's what the entire game is. Erm, the demo at least. I haven't seen any indication that the other levels are going to be any different.

To tackle all the primary issues in this thread:
-More proof that putting a (moderately) hot girl in a game otherwise full of old/black males increases sales twofold.
-I think Zeph is one of the ones who went into the game trying to hate it. Just let him wallow in the sounds of his blind criticism while we lop heads off zombies :awesome:
-Decent enough game, but really really fun when playing with friends.
-I'm extremely impressed with the zombie's animation work.
-GOD DAMMIT JUST BECAUSE A WOMAN IS IN A GAME DOESN'T MEAN SHE'S GOD e_e
Okay, I'll admit, I ignore all my other teammates and just heal/save her, but still.

Negative. I was hoping it would be great, but I was highly dissapointed. If you play the game five minutes, you've dont all the game can give you (unless, as I said earlier there's a lot more different stuff in the rest of the campaign levels). The director might swap it around so enemies, weapons, and items are different most of the times you play but it's just the same thing over and over. There's no way the environments (which are a nice improvement over the typical Half Life scenarios) can change it up to give you something new because of the way the AI is built to kill you.
*covers face with hand*
It does.
I've played from the easiest to hardest difficulty. I have never even seen the tank move anything, nonetheless actually picking something up and throwing it. The streets, subway, generators, nada. There's plenty of things for it to grab in each of those places.

Well, I don't know about you, but the tanks pretty much always throw a block of concrete for me.
I also disagree on the "THEY JUST RUN AT YOU" part. I mean, I seriously get fucked in some of the worst ways. Like once I threw a molotov and a fucking smoker pulled me into the fire.
I mean, they are zombies after all. You don't expect them to hide behind turned over cars and then pop out some times to shoot. There isn't going to be much more to them than animalistic behaviour. And even then, the AI is annoyingly smart.
About the director, I've played through that one level over and over and it never really got old. It wasn't predictable at any point in time and you never knew when you were going to be safe. Maybe you're underestimating the director, because it pretty much knows how to screw with you and that makes the gameplay all the more rich.

Game looks utter fail TBH.
Call me crazy, but you can only throw "new" things into an old engine before it starts to show. It honestly looks like a generic zombie mod for HL2, with coop added. It seems like the only thing pushing this game is valve hyping the shit outta it.
And why the fuck do people seem to move faster than the animations show? Thats always bugged me about the source engine.
I understand that the devs wanted people to focus on teamwork, and tactics, etc. But honestly, its not something that even looks like it would be fun. From what i've seen, all it seems to be is one fog-filled streetway after another(yet another signature of the source engine). But meh; it doesnt look like something i would go and buy.

If you think all the zombies do is mindlessly run at you, you haven't played enough to see the other behaviours. Seriously, it's as simple as that. I and others who have played the demo have seen them do many different things.
I've played from the easiest to hardest difficulty. I have never even seen the tank move anything, nonetheless actually picking something up and throwing it. The streets, subway, generators, nada. There's plenty of things for it to grab in each of those places.
It throws concrete when you're sufficiently far away (at which point you should get behind cover or a pillar), and it'll bat cars in your direction if one comes between you and it. If you stand between a Tank and a door, you risk getting hit with it once the Tank knocks it out.

:saddowns: Valve. Tried the demo? The teamwork/tactics might not look good to you, but I found them to be some of the strongest parts of the game. It's a very compelling and replayable game.
Edit:

My demo playtime is currently at 25.5 hours. That's 2 levels out of the game's 20. In all of those playthroughs, I haven't had a playthrough that remotely resembled the last. Doing everything in the first five minutes?

Pretty fun, but I didn't like the part in the second mission thingy where *spoilers* you pull the lever and it says the horde is coming. I thought we were opening the garage door, and a ton of zombies would pour in there. Instead nothing really happened, just some more zombies, and the turret was wildly unsatisfying to use. Don't place a giant Gatling gun in a zombie game just to have it be not fun and suck.
Other than that very specific and isolated complaint, I love it so far. Finally, a regular fucking zombie game. Been waiting for a real zombie game for ages. You know, where you are survivors fighting hordes of zombies, sticking together and helping each other out. All those multiplayer games/mods are just "U SWITCH TEAMS JUST LIKE REAL". Zombie Panic Source comes close, but the fact is you never fight more than like, 15 zombies at once, and by that time you are screwed anyways (Not that ZPS isn't awesome fun).
E: also zoey is tite, specially in the cutscene with dualies. Also, opening cutscene was fucking AWESOME.

Yeah, I just had an awesome encounter with a tank like an hour ago. The bastard killed all 3 of my teammates, and I had about 20 temporary health with a hunting rifle. I was backpedalling while firing, and I managed to backtrack from the stairs leading to the mini finale all the way to the escalator stairs. I ended up killing the tank while it was right infront of me, headed towards me, when I had 1 HP left. Sadly I got gangbanged by the horde a few moments later.

Actually, Left 4 Dead is using a more advanced and updated form of the HL2 engine, just like Team Fortress 2/Episode 2 did.

He is right to an extent. The Source engine is definitely dated from some standpoints (lighting, some shadow effects, particles, etc), but it still has very high quality shaders for the most part.
I heard Valve could be rolling out a new engine for Episode 3 anyway, so ftw on that :awesome:

I disagree. The static lighting in the game is very little to brag about in terms of realism, while the new realtime shadowing is quite nice. As for the lighting...Source engine appears somewhat basic compared to a lot of current generation games. IMO

You're confusing advanced lighting effects for excessive use of bloom.
The HL2 engine has bloom too, you just don't see much of it because Valve likes their games to not blind the players.

Quoted for the truth. I mean... Half-Life 2 through Episode 2 did have a lot of bloom... but at least it seemed like it belonged. I don't think the graphics of Left 4 Dead are bad at all.
Now the feel of shooting the guns... that seems off to me, don't know what it is... but I don't get the same feeling shooting things as I got from shooting things in Half-Life... I imagine it's just me though.

I don't think the graphics are bad, not at all. They work for the game, and that's what counts. I just think the engine itself is showing its age. As for "excessive use of bloom," not every Unreal Engine 3 game uses that to a bad effect. Unreal Tournament 3 used it to good effect because the game called for it, Mass Effect just looked gorgeous through and through imo, and Lost Odyssey was wonderful.
I'm not trying to put down the Source engine here, I just think that after a full 4 years of use, it's probably time for an update.

Oh it definitely did. I enjoyed the improved normal mapping and the phong shaders on environments (added a lot to the caves). There is just something about the way everything comes together that, to me, just appears old. I dunno. I'm not gonna change your mind and you're not going to change mine, so lets just leave it at this and we can get back to Left 4 Dead.

Uh, what I am supposed to be gathering from this comparison?
One game is dark, gritty, and conservative, the other is vibrant in colour and seems to use bloom liberally. Compare Mass Effect to some other "shiny" game, it's not a good comparison to Left 4 Dead at all.

^^ I guess we're going to continue this.
It doesn't matter in the slightest that Left 4 Dead is gritty and Mass Effect is more colorful, that wasn't even the point I was trying to get across. The aspect of the two I was showing was the difference in the quality of lighting, not the difference in styles.
Oh and by the way, last I checked, bloom has no impact on the quality of lighting (shadows, highlights, HDR). It's just a special effect.

I really like the L4D's graphics the only thing that bugs me is the lack of reflected light.
I'm not aware of any current title that can actually do it but it becomes really noticable with the flashlight in dark hallways. Ya know how in real life, you shine a flashlight in a pitch black room it will light up a bit more than just that single cone of light.
I know games can't really do this yet but this is one of those times where the lack of it really stands out to me.
I really like the game. shooting zombies in the head from a distance and watching them drop is really satisfying. And when the hordes show up it gets really intense but not so much that it makes me want to stop.

Well, I'm pointing out those screenshots do a horrible job of comparing lighting. They're stylistically different, for starters, and you can't just throw that out of the equation. If you're arguing lighting on a technical level (shadows, highlights, HDR), get some examples that make those elements bleeding obvious.

Ok, so, I'm on chapter 2, section 4, just over the fence wall and nearing the saferoom. All four of us are still alive. I get incapped by a witch which I accidentally hit with a stray shotgun round while taking out some horde attacking Louis. Louis then gets dragged and incapped by a Smoker on the other side of the fence, who then lets go, since he can't drag him anymore. Francis comes over to help me, and he gets incapped by the same damn Smoker in the same fashion. Bill then comes over and just fucking stands on Louis while we all die. Fuck you, Bill, fuck you.

I've only played through No Mercy and Death Toll, and I can't see how it can get easier than Death Toll's finale. The zombie attack entrances were all in range of the minigun, and it's easy to wear down the tanks before they get up to you.
Too bad that when a tank did get me, he hit me towards the corner of the roof. And instead of hitting the roof, and falling and doing a little damage, the game decided to put me in that "hanging" state, where no one could get me. By the time the boat got there, I had about 180 health left. Strangely enough, I got the achievement for "surviving" Death Toll. :3:
Game is awesome overall, even on my shitty computer.

I just borrowed this game from someone. Oh, my god, this is frigging awesome. :D Not only does it make COD5's zombie mode look like a turkey hunt, but the AI absolutely blow me away. This is the first game I've ever played where the friendly AI actually assist you and feel like real people. I feel for them when they're in trouble, and I can always count on them to help the player in a tough situation.
So far I've only played on normal. I switched to advanced mid-way through one campaign, and when the entire team's health went down to the red range I decided I wasn't used enough to the game to do that. And I also love the randomized ai. Makes me very happy.

Dead air the easiest finale? I would say Blood Harvest is much easier, have all the survivors pile up into the middle room on the 2nd floor with autoshotguns. Have 2 people cover the window, and 2 people cover the door, when the tank comes proceed to the roof and through some molotovs and light him up.
I find Dead air harder cause its open space... a lot harder to defend than a tiny room with 2 entrances...

lol. That's all I have to say. If he's so psyched for this game (as he mentioned), he would have known that a single player story experience wasn't the focus of the game. The zombies running have also been in since the game was shown off, so I don't see how he wouldn't have known about that beforehand.

The strategies you need to defeat them are brilliant, ie. Smokers dragging people away from their friends, Hunters disabling people, boomers disorienting and baiting people. I think the tank could be used a bit less in some cases. The last game I played, we were all being raped by a horde and a hunter, and a boomer had just exploded/vomited on us, and a tank came at that moment. Not fun...

This.
The difference between L4D on Steam and Xbox Live:
The following two conversations are 100% real. And are captioned from memory to the best of my abilities.
ON PC:
Player 1: We got a boomer ahead...boomer...BOOMER WATCH OUT!
Boomer pukes on Zoey.
Player 1: Dude why didn't you get out of the way, what the fuck?
Player 2: Man, c'mon. I'm new to this game. I don't want nor deserve that kinda talk.
Player 1: Ah ok. Sorry, I didn't know. Alright... in that case let me fill you in on some of the basics once we get up these stairs. So you don't get ralphed on again, haha.
The rest of the server shares a collective laugh.
Guy proceeds to inform the newbie, who is grateful. Match continues and everyone is happy.
ON XBOX LIVE:
Francis: Alright, I hear one of them tongue-faggots comin' up on us.
Louis: Your mom's a tongue-faggot!
Swarm comes, Louis fires approx. 26 rounds into Francis' back.
Francis: Yo what the FUCK YOU THINKING! Quit shooting me you are so fucking bad at this game!
Louis: I'm better then you chump!
Francis: Yeah right you are probably 12 years old in your parent's basement. Don't even start, kid.
Louis: FINE LETS GO VERSUS 1 ON 1 FAGGOT IF YOUR SO FUCKING LEET. 1 ON 1 FAGGOT. 1 ON 1 FAGGOT...
Louis continues to rhythmically chant "1 on 1 faggot" While Francis begins to scream obscenities and eventually just starts blowing into the mic as hard as he can.
Group gets assaulted and wipes. I tell my friend I'm never touching his 360 again if that disk in in the tray.
And that is why the PC version of Left 4 Dead is superior.

Quote from the maker:
Some of you may have got enough beating the four campaigns over and over again. Even the versus mode can get pretty boring at times. If you are looking for something new, think no further, because we have something that might interest you.
With this video, we try to adapt a popular and interesting gaming concept, trickjumping, influential in games like Quake 3 and Half-Life, to this critically praised zombie survival game. Some of you may have been in to this business already in DeFRaG or something.
All the tricks are pulled off with The Hunter and most of them are pretty basic. With this video, you can adapt these moves to regular versus gameplay, learn new ways to exploit the environment and ambush your opponents from even more unreachable places.
No movement-enhancing scripts or cheats were used during filming of this movie.

Unless you're referring to the shitty Dawn of the Dead remake with fast zombies, then you can go politely fuck yourself.

No I meant 28 Days Later. That movie is the freakiest horror flick I've seen since the first time watching Jeepers Creepers.

There are 2 Dawns of the Dead, and only one was good. The second one was a terrible remake of the Romero classic with fast zombies.
I assume you mean "slow zombies vs. fast zombies."
It's fast zombies.

Yeah, I meant the slow ones. The original was awesome. But if the Zombies are like 28 days later, damn, that must be some freaky shit.

My suggestion for getting the Untouchables achievement is to be on Dead Air on Easy and have M16s and camp at the downed plane and after the 2nd tank is dead, throw a pipebomb away from the plane so the zombies don't hit you.

Okay guys. I'm poor and can only afford 1 game this season. Should I get this, GoW2, MS Points (lots of games I want off there), or Xbox Live?
Tbh my laptop doesn't make the minimum reqs. (Processor is 1.6 C2D, and I only got 1 gig of ram for Vista)
I know I'll get slightlybiased answers but I didn't want to make a new thread for this.
