A bit of a side note:

Kismet-based scripting of Gears of War PC::Allowed
UnrealScript-based scripting of Gears of War PC::Disallowed. (Its too open for Microsoft to "allow" on live)

Unreal Tournament 3 is not GFWL though, so UnrealScript will be allowed as well... for almost everything you'll be using Kismet though. Its just easier and has almost as much functionality.
