cant get san andreas mp to work

So 2 days ago i fially got San andreas PC shipped to me. I got the MP mod, installed it in the right directory, but when i run then try to connect to a server, it doesnt say multiplayer anywhere, just single player. I belive the version of GTA_SA i have is 2.0. any help would be nice

You need the downgrade to 1.0.

There's a patch somewhere on the Internet.

i googled it, couldent find anything. It was giving me a bunch of links to SA MP v1.0

EDIT: found one on file planet, but it didnt work

downgrade gta to 1.0, not the mod.

ok i found it, and downgraded, now its saying "i dont know what version on gta_sa yoyr using" or something, hold on let me restart computer

Yeah.. now it says i dont have the original CD in
