yer, i suppose you must be right, after all your dole. BRB i'm off to go swim in large bodys of un-drinkable water which contain everything from stingrays (STEVE WATCH OUT :O!!), to jellyfish, to salt water crocs and rips which can drag me miles out into said body of water. then when I'm done pruning up I'll run onto the baking hot dunes of sand which will cling my body faster then a headcrab to a fresh corpse (not to mention the sand that got into places I didn't know I had while swimming in the previously mentioned body of water).

HA! I take it you've never had skin cancer have you? my father's had several tumors removed in recent years and I've had several moles removed which were likely to develop into skin cancer when I got older (and this was when I was 13).

more than that, i'm very prone to getting sunburned which I'm sure is no fun for anybody.

as zilla said, my skin doesn't tan much at all. it develops freckles (you can tell it's the sun because areas of my body rarely exposed to light have fuck all). I do get a little tan, but you only notice it when I've been wearing shorts all summer and I take my pants off.

protip; there's no such thing as a "safe" tan. (come to queensland and check out the incidences of skin cancer)

btw, last time I checked, albino's had blonde hair and blue eyes :downs:

Theres a heat threshold, where you have to be at LEAST 75 degrees celcius before you go out into the sun, otherwise the drastic change between inside and outside makes your skin make different to my skin.

It's salt water, you big baby, all it does it sanitize your skin through salinization. Second, there aren't going to be jellyfish, crocodiles, and stingrays straying into publicly-designated beaches because those areas are netted off and supervised; not to mention a stingray isn't going to do anything except swim away from you unless you actually go after it, in which case you would deserve to be stung. Many freckled people (e.g. Linsay Lohan) are in the situations where their skin is tanned yet swathed in freckles, because they decide to take "long strides" in a natural tanning process. However, there are freckled people who have a good complexion, and this comes of taking it on steadily but surely, no "hop-skip-and-jump and poof I'm done!".

The circumstances mentioned above most certainly were not safe, but don't just spew that because you never want to enter the world outside the proximity of your computer monitor. You seem to be under the preoccupation that a tan is just a brown sunburn, which is utterly retarded. A uniform, thorough tan is very healthy; not only does it stimulate your skin to produce vitamin C for the rest of the body, but it tones your skin's resilience and blocks your internal organs (and dermis) against mass quantities of radiation in the visible spectrum.

I haven't been to the beach in years and I spend most of my time inside as I can't tolerate the heat, yet I could probably outdo most of you outdoorsy types as far as a tan goes.
