worth spending my cash on?

i've seen a few vids, but from waht ive seen, it looks like absolute shit.
like some old game from the year 2000 or something.

from what ive seen in the vids, it's also just WALK BACKWARDS AND BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM NEVER EVER STOP SHOOTING FAGGOT! - kind of gameplay.

am i wrong? am i right?
i want this game to be good, but from what i've seen, it's not really.
change my mind plz.

I wanted the game to be good too. I seriously expected better from the creators of Diablo. I've got the collector's edition box gathering dust in a corner. Speaking as someone who was in alpha and beta, I can tell you NOTHING has changed from alpha, and it still plays as so. They still handled the NPCs shittily, it has all the generic bullshit quests of a half-assed MMO, and it's as linear as it can possibly be. The formula of the game isn't even hidden, so you most definitely feel like you're playing Number Crunchers, picking the right mathematical equations to survive in the game, all the while avoiding the bad guys.

Needless to say, it was horrible. They had a system that could've turned out well and they just executed it horribly. I guess that's what you get for a game that went through a year in production and EA as your publisher.

Yeah, it really is a joke now. They don't even know what to do. The biggest problem was most definitely having the difference between normal online players and elite status players. That alone creates a rift between content. What's worse is that one of the main perks as a monthly paying customer was being able to have 24 character slots, where normal status (free play) could only have had 3 slots. Their first update (properly stamped at 0.5 to show their half-assedness on the subject) got rid of that subject matter altogether, and now allows everyone to have 24 character slots. As such, numerous of elite subscribers are already demanding refunds and the devs are stumbling over themselves to meet the many demands of those dropping out. The life time subscribers are pretty pissed off as well.

It's going down hill, courtesy of the devs. What did they expect though, especially when it plays like its still in alpha.
